GOLD UNDER PRESSURE — IS $XAU /USD PREPARING FOR A REVERSAL?

Gold is going through a difficult session as rising oil prices and renewed inflation concerns put pressure on the market. On October 22, spot gold dropped to around $4,056 per ounce, reaching its lowest level in more than two months.

The main factors to watch are the US dollar, Treasury yields, oil prices, and expectations surrounding the Federal Reserve's next interest-rate decision.

Right now, I would pay close attention to the $4,050–$4,075 area for signs of support, while $4,130–$4,150 is an important recovery zone to monitor.

If buyers step in and gold regains upward momentum, a rebound could develop. But if selling continues, further downside remains possible.

In my view, patience is key here. Let price action confirm the direction before making a move.

Lately I feel like the market is moving too much on hype and emotions. Not every Mag 7 company will keep dominating forever. Some companies are showing real growth with AI and strong business models, while others are just getting attention because everyone is talking about them.

$XAUT Gold Slipping Toward $4,100 Again — What I'm Watching For $XAUT

Gold is slipping toward $4,100 again, and I'm watching whether XAUT can defend that area while oil-driven inflation fears keep pressure on the metal.

This is NOT a crypto-specific sell-off. The underlying gold market is setting the direction, and XAUT traders need to respect that.

Spot gold fell more than 1% today as rising oil prices revived fears that rates could stay higher for longer. With the Fed decision on Oct. 27-28 and US PCE inflation data due next week, gold is facing a macro test that could keep volatility elevated.

XAUT = 1 troy ounce of physical gold, so the key question is whether it tracks a stabilizing gold price or continues lower with the spot market. The recent rebound from $4,100 has not yet established a convincing reversal.

Key figures I'm tracking:

$4,129 — $XAUT reference price
$4,107 — 24H low
$4,135 — Gold resistance
$4,100 — Key psychological support
$4,073 — Next downside reference

Bullish confirmation for me: Gold stabilizes above $4,100 and XAUT reclaims $4,135 with a sustained 1H close. That would open recovery toward $4,150-$4,170.

Bearish confirmation: A clean break below $4,100, followed by a failed reclaim, would put $4,073 in focus and increase the risk of a deeper pullback.

For XAUT, I'm not looking for a standalone crypto breakout. I want to see gold stop making lower lows first. Until that happens, any bounce in the token remains a recovery attempt, not confirmed strength.
