🇰🇷 South Korea is taking tokenized securities a step further.
The FSC is pushing a roadmap to bring stocks, bonds and funds into the tokenized securities framework, moving beyond the earlier focus on fractional investment products.
The rollout is planned in phases, with the first stage starting in February 2027. That phase includes tokenization of certain privately placed funds and bonds for institutional investors, as well as unlisted stocks through trust structures. Broader public securities could follow in later phases.
The bigger picture is clear: traditional financial assets are increasingly being connected to blockchain infrastructure.
For crypto traders, the interesting part is how this develops from token issuance into actual on-chain trading and, eventually, stablecoin-based settlement.
