PORT3 is a small crypto project that lets tokens move between blockchains.
The hacker used a bug in this bridge, which let him create the tokens and sell 162.75M $PORT3 for 199.56 $BNB ($166K) before anyone could react.
Because the sell off was happening so fast, the team quickly removed liquidity, and exchanges froze deposits to limit the damage.
When the hacker saw he couldnât keep selling, he gave up and burned the remaining 837M tokens, ending the attack right there.
This incident shows how one small mistake in a contract can break a whole project, in crypto, strong security is everything.
