$PENGU ARRIVES ON SOFI AND POINTS TO A POSSIBLE 20% RISE.
Pudgy Penguins announced that its PENGU token can now be bought, sold, and held through SoFi, a U.S. financial institution with more than 15 million members.
The addition expands access to PENGU within the traditional financial market, although there are still no figures to measure how much additional demand it could generate.
At the time of the analysis, PENGU was trading near $0.007468, down 0.70% on the day. Its price remained below the 20-day moving average, which stood at $0.008383.
In the short term, analysts identify initial resistance at $0.007879. Breaking above it could open the way to the moving average, while the $0.009273 area represents a higher target, approximately 24% above the price analyzed.
Derivatives also show lower activity. Open interest fell to approximately $123 million, alongside a decline in volume since late September.
The arrival on SoFi gives PENGU a new access channel, while its price continues to trade below the main technical resistance levels.
$SEI RECEIVES CERTIFICATION FOR PERPETUAL FUTURES IN THE UNITED STATES.
SEI is expanding its trading opportunities in the U.S. market following the certification of perpetual futures contracts by North American Derivatives Exchange (Nadex), which operates as OG.com Markets.
The certification, completed on October 8, 2026, covers contracts on SEI settled in U.S. dollars. This instrument allows traders to trade on changes in the token’s price without having to buy it or hold it in a wallet.
With this addition, SEI joins the assets included in the platform’s perpetual futures offering, alongside BTC, ETH, SOL, and XRP.
The contracts have no expiration date and include funding payments every eight hours.
- Traders can open long or short positions, although their results depend on the price, leverage, and associated costs.
The reported minimum order size is 100 SEI. At prices between USD 0.06 and USD 0.066 recorded in mid-October, that amount represents exposure of approximately USD 6 to USD 6.60.
The next key data point will be the actual activity in these contracts: trading volume, open interest, and funding rates. These indicators will help measure the market’s genuine interest in trading SEI through this instrument.
$ETH VITALIK PROPOSES CHANGING HOW ETHEREUM PROCESSES CRYPTOGRAPHY.
Vitalik Buterin has once again turned the spotlight on Ethereum’s technical architecture with EIP-8288, a proposal that aims to simplify the verification of complex cryptographic operations and make it easier to incorporate new security schemes.
The core idea is to bundle digital signatures and cryptographic proofs into a single recursive STARK proof. Instead of requiring the network to process each computationally intensive element separately, mempool nodes could combine these proofs before validators check their validity.
The goal is to reduce verification costs and the volume of data that must circulate across the network, especially as signatures resistant to future quantum attacks come into use.
- Some of these signatures take up several kilobytes, while certain STARK proofs can exceed 128 KB.
The proposal also aims to prevent Ethereum from having to add a new built-in cryptographic function every time a different scheme emerges. This could give it more flexibility to adapt to future security technologies.
EIP-8288 was co-authored by Buterin and Thomas Coratger and remains in draft status. Its implementation will depend on technical decisions and whether it is potentially included in a future network upgrade.
For now, the debate is focused on how to enable Ethereum to verify advanced cryptography at lower cost, without relying on specific changes for each new system.
$XRP and $XLM A WIDE MARKET CAPITALIZATION GAP PERSISTS.
XRP and XLM compete in some payments and financial services segments, but their valuations show a significant difference.
XRP has an estimated market capitalization of USD 80–82 billion, compared with USD 5–8.5 billion for Stellar.
The difference is approximately 10 to 13 times XLM’s market value.
- To reach a market capitalization similar to XRP’s, XLM would need to approach USD 2.50, based on the current supply considered in the analysis.
This is not a price prediction, but a comparison of valuations.
Stellar has made progress in real-world asset tokenization, with around USD 3.5 billion in tokenized value, compared with USD 2.5 billion on the XRP Ledger.
DTCC also appears as a possible catalyst, with a tokenization service expected to launch in the first half of 2027.
However, growth in institutional activity does not automatically mean greater demand for XLM.
To narrow the gap, Stellar needs to turn these developments into recurring usage and effective demand for the token.
$NEAR $TAO $ICP NEAR PROTOCOL LEADS AI MODEL PREFERENCES.
NEAR is the preferred choice of two of the three artificial intelligence models evaluated for the fourth quarter of 2026.
- ChatGPT and Perplexity highlight its combination of liquidity, catalysts, and risk-reward profile, while Gemini favors Bittensor (TAO), seeking greater potential returns in a bull market.
One factor supporting NEAR is activity on NEAR Intents, infrastructure that enables transactions across different blockchains.
Progress related to AI agents and institutional access through financial products linked to the token are also mentioned.
However, the price warrants attention.
The analysis points to an approximate 110% rise in one month and identifies $6 as a significant resistance level. A confirmed weekly close above it could pave the way for another bullish phase, while a rejection would increase the likelihood of a correction.
TAO has a more volatile profile and is more dependent on Bitcoin’s direction.
ICP, meanwhile, is lagging due to a lack of quantifiable short-term catalysts and uncertainty about how to turn enterprise adoption into measurable results.
NEAR’s price performance, TAO’s reaction to BTC movements, and ICP’s usage and revenue metrics will be important variables to watch during the quarter.
WLD introduced a new digital identity offering aimed at the financial sector, with tools designed to reduce scams involving deepfakes and AI-powered impersonation.
The World ID for Banking and Finance package combines three components: the World ID app, a Zoom integration to verify participants in video calls, and tools that enable AI agents to prove they are acting with human authorization.
The Zoom integration allows a person verified using the Orb device to confirm their identity during a meeting and receive a visible identification badge for other participants. The system combines this prior verification with a real-time presence check.
Initial design partners include Bain Capital, Pantera Capital, and VanEck Funds, along with OpenExchange and Outtake. The initiative was unveiled at Money20/20 and is aimed at financial transactions, sensitive communications, and tasks delegated to artificial intelligence systems.
The announcement expands the scope of World ID, which aims to prove that a real person is behind a digital interaction. For WLD, it remains to be seen whether this expansion leads to sustained adoption of the ecosystem and what impact it ultimately has on demand for the token.
$ETH JPMORGAN BRINGS ITS DEPOSIT TOKEN TO ETHEREUM.
JPMorgan announced the launch of JPM Coin (JPMD) on the Ethereum mainnet, a move that expands the use of blockchain in institutional financial operations.
The token represents dollar deposits held at JPMorgan and is designed to facilitate transfers and settlements between authorized institutional clients.
- The aim is to leverage Ethereum’s infrastructure to process digital transactions without relying exclusively on traditional payment systems.
The difference is that JPMD is not a public stablecoin like USDT or USDC.
- It is a banking instrument for eligible clients, backed by deposits held at the financial institution.
For Ethereum, the news adds a use case directly tied to traditional finance. The involvement of a bank on JPMorgan’s scale also shows institutional interest in using blockchain networks to move value and streamline settlement processes.
The announcement does not guarantee an increase in ETH’s price, nor does it mean the bank will buy large amounts of the asset. However, it adds another financial application to its infrastructure, a relevant development to watch as institutional adoption evolves.
$WLD VANECK, MRBEAST AND WALL STREET ACCUSED OF BENEFITING FROM EXPLOITED BIOMETRIC DATA.
WLD launched its World ID for Banking and Finance platform on October 18, with participation from VanEck, Pantera Capital and Bain Capital. The initiative aims to help financial institutions combat AI-powered impersonation, with a new Zoom integration.
The expansion rekindles criticism over the origins of its user base.
Worldcoin offered cryptocurrency, cash and gifts to people who agreed to verify their identity by having their iris scanned with the Orb device.
- Previous investigations raised concerns about informed consent, especially among populations with limited resources.
Questions have also been raised about the corporate structure linked to the project.
- Eightco Holdings (ORBS) has accumulated WLD and holds stakes in OpenAI and Beast Industries, MrBeast's company, while Bitmine Immersion (BMNR) holds a significant position in Eightco.
This web of investments fuels criticism over who captures the value generated by biometric data and World’s expansion.
In the market, WLD fell from $0.547 on October 17 to $0.478 the following day. Open interest dropped 5.1% in 24 hours, and funding turned negative.
Additionally, an estimated 1.02 billion WLD are set to unlock over the next twelve months, worth approximately $500 million at the price quoted in the analysis.
$XRP $RLUSD $HYPE RIPPLE PRIME OPENS MORE THAN 100 TRADITIONAL MARKETS TO 24/7 TRADING.
Ripple expanded its institutional business with the launch of RWA-linked perpetual swaps, available for trading 24 hours a day, including weekends.
Through Ripple Prime, institutional clients can access more than 100 benchmark markets, including equities, stock indexes, ETFs, metals, energy, and currencies.
The contracts are based on Trade.xyz perpetual futures on Hyperliquid, while Ripple Prime acts as the counterparty to the trades.
One of the service’s features is the ability to use RLUSD, Ripple’s stablecoin, as collateral. It also allows margins to be managed across different asset classes within a single framework.
U.S. firm Virtu is already among the participants using these instruments.
The service is currently available under Ripple Prime’s BVI CIV license, with plans to expand to other jurisdictions.
This addition allows institutions to maintain exposure to traditional markets even when exchanges are closed, with trading and settlement available throughout the week.
$NEAR $SOL NEAR EXPANDS ITS ACCESS TO SOLANA AND RISES NEARLY 14%.
NEAR Protocol expanded its presence in the Solana ecosystem through its integration with Sunrise, an initiative aimed at making it easier to access its assets within that network.
The integration allows NEAR to be operated from Solana-compatible wallets and to access decentralized exchange markets such as Jupiter and Raydium, as well as trading aggregators.
The connection uses NEAR Intents to facilitate transfers between networks.
The news had an immediate reaction in the market. The NEAR token recorded a rise of nearly 14% in 24 hours, according to data published on October 16.
The move coincided with the expansion of its access to Solana liquidity, although the price performance may also be due to other market factors.
The plan includes adding more assets and deepening the connection between both platforms, with the goal of facilitating liquidity movement between different ecosystems.
In addition, Mert Mumtaz, CEO of Helius, an infrastructure company linked to Solana, joined the board of the Near Foundation to collaborate on product strategy and ecosystem development.
$TIA CELESTIA SURGES 16% AND REGAINS THE SPOTLIGHT.
TIA posted one of the crypto market’s strongest gains this Friday, rising nearly 16% and reaching around US$0.68 during the day. This came as Bitcoin traded near US$82,100 and several altcoins showed stronger relative performance.
The interest also coincides with technical progress on the project.
Celestia Fibre reached 3.07 terabits per second in a data transfer test, a figure that highlights the processing capacity of its infrastructure.
Another point to watch is the Sustainable Blob Economy proposal, which outlines changes to the network’s economic model.
- Its development may be relevant to assessing how the project aims to sustain its activity and attract new development.
Over the past four weeks, TIA has gained nearly 59%, although that performance does not eliminate the risks following such a sharp rise.
Whether the move continues will depend, among other factors, on the demand it can sustain and the overall performance of altcoins.
For now, Celestia stands out for its combination of price recovery, technical performance tests, and an economic proposal under discussion. The market’s reaction over the coming sessions will show whether the momentum can be sustained.
$BTC BITCOIN: WHALE WALLETS HIT A RECORD AS BEARISH POSITIONS INCREASE.
According to Santiment, the number of addresses holding between 10 and 10,000 BTC reached 20,338, a new all-time high. The figure has been rising since mid-July, even during recent market corrections.
Santiment sees this trend as reflecting confidence among large holders, although it warns that Bitcoin could still face further declines in the short term.
Bearish pressure also increased in the futures market. The BTC funding rate fell to -0.0073%, signaling a greater presence of short positions.
U.S. spot ETFs also saw outflows in October. Between the 1st and the 14th, they recorded net outflows of around $539.8 million, including $261.5 million withdrawn on the 14th alone.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin recovered to $82,034, up 1.49% on the day at the time of the report.
Two key levels are now in focus: $80,000 as a support zone to watch, and $88,000 as resistance, where potential short-position liquidations are also concentrated.
$BTC $ETH CRYPTO FACES HIGHER RISK OF LIQUIDATIONS DUE TO LEVERAGE.
The crypto market closed the third quarter of 2026 with a strong recovery, but the data show a situation that deserves attention: prices rose while spot market buying activity declined.
Total market capitalization grew by 39.6%, adding around $840 billion and approaching $3 trillion. However, spot trading volume across the ten largest exchanges fell by 14.2%, to $1.65 trillion.
At the same time, open interest in perpetual futures increased by 40.6%, reaching $102.2 billion.
This combination is concerning because a high accumulation of leveraged positions can amplify declines when forced liquidations begin.
The most recent precedent occurred on October 10, 2025, when a sell-off triggered more than $19 billion in liquidations.
Ethereum is showing similar signs: it rose 71% during the quarter, while its average daily trading volume fell by 23.2%.
The report does not necessarily forecast another crash, but it shows a market where derivatives exposure grew considerably faster than spot market activity.
$POL POLYGON COMPLETES COINME ACQUISITION AND EXPANDS ITS PAYMENTS BUSINESS.
Polygon Labs completed its acquisition of Coinme, a deal that adds regulated U.S. payments infrastructure to its Open Money Stack platform.
With this integration, Polygon’s payments business now covers 48 U.S. states through 37 state money transmission licenses and 11 applicable exemptions. It is also registered with FinCEN as a money services business.
The goal is to connect different stages of a financial transaction:
● Bringing in dollars from bank accounts, cards, or cash; transferring value via blockchain; and delivering funds to the recipient.
The platform also combines wallets, conversion between traditional money and digital assets, routing between networks, and payment settlement.
Among the first companies using Open Money Stack are Tazapay, Mesh, Toku, and Kira, with applications related to international payments, account funding, global payroll, and access to banking services in dollars.
The deal completes part of the agreement announced in January, which also included the acquisition of Sequence.
Polygon aims to bring together in a single infrastructure the services businesses need to adopt stablecoin payments without having to manage each component separately.
The concrete step forward is the addition of Coinme and its regulatory framework. Commercial growth will depend on the volume of transactions this platform can attract.
$ETH ETHEREUM: AVAILABLE SUPPLY RISES AS DEMAND WEAKENS.
Ethereum is going through a difficult week. ETH is down 4.45% and trading near $2,504, while several indicators point to increased selling pressure.
One of the most notable figures is exchange reserves, which rose from 14.59 million ETH at the end of September to approximately 14.93 million on October 14, reaching their highest level in a month.
Significant transactions among large holders were also recorded. A whale sold 9,996 ETH for around $25 million, while POAP founder Patricio Worthalter deposited another 10,000 ETH into Gemini.
U.S. demand is also showing weakness. The Coinbase Premium Index fell to -0.1173, its lowest level in two months.
Meanwhile, spot Ethereum ETFs recorded outflows for ten consecutive trading sessions, totaling approximately $782.6 million. Although $24.8 million flowed in on October 13, the monthly balance remains negative by around $695.4 million.
With ETH down 6.47% so far in October, available trading reserves and institutional flows continue to point to selling pressure.
$XRP RIPPLE PARTNERS WITH PRIVY, ACQUIRED BY STRIPE, TO INTEGRATE XRP PAYMENTS INTO APPS.
🤝 On October 13, Ripple announced a partnership with Privy, a company acquired by Stripe, to integrate XRP Ledger (XRPL) wallets directly into financial apps and digital platforms.
The integration will allow developers to create and manage wallets, sign transactions, and offer payments with XRP, the RLUSD stablecoin, and other network assets.
- Users will be able to make transactions without installing an external wallet or managing their private keys themselves.
The agreement also includes automated payments through artificial intelligence agents, using the x402 protocol to execute transactions between apps and digital services.
According to Ripple, the XRP Ledger has already processed 13 million payments made by AI agents, representing approximately 25% of network activity.
Privy also noted that XRPL has over 8 million funded accounts and has processed more than one trillion dollars in transferred value since its creation.
The integration will be rolled out progressively, with transaction controls and tools that will let apps cover their users’ fees.
For now, the announcement focuses on facilitating access to XRPL and expanding the ways XRP and RLUSD can be used in digital services.
$NEAR STANDS OUT AS THE CRYPTO MARKET SHIFTS TOWARD ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.
Near Protocol was one of the standout assets of the past week, according to a report by Wintermute, which identified a rotation of capital toward projects linked to artificial intelligence.
The trend stood out against the broader market backdrop.
Bitcoin fell 3.2%, Ethereum lost 7%, and only 11 of the top 66 altcoins ended the week in positive territory. Additionally, liquidations reached US$1.19 billion in just 24 hours.
Wintermute noted that some capital shifted toward AI-related projects, with NEAR taking center stage.
Factors associated with its performance included the addition of support for post-quantum cryptographic signatures and a possible large-scale short squeeze, although Wintermute clarified that it could not confirm these causes.
Meanwhile, open interest in NEAR futures reached a record US$1.92 billion on October 12, reflecting strong activity in derivatives.
The network has also been steering its development toward autonomous agents and decentralized computing, two areas linked to artificial intelligence.
For now, NEAR is drawing particular attention in an altcoin market that continues to show widespread weakness.
$BTC BITCOIN SURPASSES US$84,000 AND SETS ITS SIGHTS ON US$87,000.
BTC has risen for four consecutive days, surpassing US$84,000 and reaching a high of US$84,150 on October 12. The rally puts a resistance zone back on the radar—a level that could determine its next move.
Some of this recovery is due to a more favorable macroeconomic backdrop.
Falling yields on 30-year US Treasury bonds and WTI crude oil dropping below US$90 eased concerns about further Federal Reserve rate hikes.
According to probabilities tracked by CME FedWatch, the market sees more than an 80% chance that the Fed will leave rates unchanged in October.
Technically, US$87,000 is the main immediate resistance—a zone where BTC encountered selling pressure in September and October.
A breakout accompanied by higher spot-buying volume could trigger short liquidations and pave the way for a move toward US$90,000.
For now, BTC remains approximately 3.5% below that first resistance, as the market watches to see whether buying volume is strong enough to sustain the recovery.
$WLD WORLDCOIN TARGETS US$0.62 AFTER RECLAIMING A KEY LEVEL
🚀 WLD recorded a recovery of nearly 14% and moved back above a relevant technical zone between US$0.54 and US$0.55, which analyses identify as Fibonacci support.
● If buying pressure continues, the next targets identified are between US$0.60 and US$0.62. This range will be important in assessing whether the price can extend its recent advance.
● Another notable point is that WLD is trading above its 50-, 100-, and 200-day moving averages.
● The 50-day simple moving average, located near US$0.44, appears as a longer-term support reference in the technical analysis.
Two elements related to the development of the ecosystem are also noteworthy:
○ World Money, an application designed to facilitate transactions and digital asset management.
○ World ID, the project's digital identity system.
Both are part of the strategy to expand the platform's use, although their impact on token demand will depend on adoption and the activity they manage to generate.
The outlook remains dependent on WLD's ability to hold the levels it has reclaimed and on regulatory developments for digital identity systems.
The US$0.60–0.62 zone is the next price reference identified by the analysis.
