#RUSSIE 🇷🇺 : VLADIMIR PUTIN ATTENDS NAVAL MANEUVERS FOR NAVY DAY.
Vladimir Putin celebrated Navy Day by traveling to Saint Petersburg, where he oversaw major naval exercises called "July Storm." These maneuvers took place from July 23 to July 27 in several seas and oceans important to Russia: the North Sea, the Black Sea, the Baltic Sea, the Pacific Ocean, and even the Caspian Sea.
The purpose of these exercises was to demonstrate that the Russian Navy is ready to act anywhere and in any situation. Putin visited the frigate "Admiral Grigorovich," a ship that recently repelled drone attacks near the Leningrad region.
In addition to the military inspection, the President surprised the residents of Saint Petersburg by getting out of his car to talk with them. He notably greeted a former sailor, wishing him a happy holiday and exchanging a few encouraging words. Putin even took a photo with a young boy before leaving amidst the cheers of the crowd, who were shouting his name.

Are these military demonstrations important to showcase a country's strength, or do you think it is mainly a way to gain attention?
