The future has arrived: a humanoid robot is being sold on Aliexpress
Unusual lots have been spotted on Aliexpress, and both the item for sale and its price are surprising. For 14.7 million rubles we are offered “the universal humanoid robot Unitree H1 - the world’s most powerful humanoid robot with almost kinetic characteristics.”
The manufacturer of the new product is the Chinese company Unitree Robotics, which since 2016 has been quite successfully engaged in the research, development and production of various robots for both ordinary consumers and industrial applications.
The company has more than 80 patents. Unitree Robotics' main specialty is four-legged robots, reminiscent of the Boston Dynamics Spot. Only the latter costs $74,500, and the Chinese equivalent, Unitree Go2, starts at only $1,600.
Now it’s the turn of humanoid, that is, humanoid robots. Unitree H1 is sold both on Aliexpress and in the company's official store; the manufacturer calls it the world's first general-purpose humanoid robot.

Installed sensors allow Unitree H1 to perfectly navigate in space and avoid collisions with objects in its path. Also in the videos, the developers clearly demonstrate the robot’s high degree of stability: it does not fall even after fairly strong kicks.
As for the real use of the robot, this question remains open. It can carry loads of up to 30 kg, overcome obstacles such as scattered boards and stones, and move in different directions. In any case, Unitree H1 is a finished serial product and a ready-made robotic platform for modification with various modules for certain tasks.
At the moment, Unitree H1 has been spotted in five Aliexpress stores and costs from 14.7 to 18.4 million rubles. The official website of the Unitree online store lists 13.4 million rubles with the note “contact us to find out the real price.”
