$BTC into the $83,000 wall: distribution or hand-off?
Facts:
• For the first time since early June, ALL holder groups have shifted into net selling — from small fish to whales
• The $83,000 wall: four rejections from mid-August; on Friday, about $700 was missing from the ceiling
• BTC around $79k, +23% over 30 days (since Aug 7) — there’s plenty to sell
• By mid-August, the whales bought another 43,000 BTC (about $2.9B) over 60 days — now they’re selling the accumulation from the lows
• The probability of an Fed rate hike is around 70%, and on September 11 there will be CPI
🧠 My take: when all cohorts sell at the same time, it looks scary. But look at the sequence: whales loaded up at the lows, and they’re selling at the fourth rejection from the wall. This isn’t panic—this is classic distribution at resistance. The question is what happens next: if the CPI on the 11th is soft, the wall breaks, selling dries up, and the squeeze resumes. If it’s hot, we test the $78,000–$79,000 buy zone, and below that—there’s nothing but air. The week of Sept 11–16 will decide who was right.
⚠️ A breakdown below $78,000 cancels the bullish scenario for the week and opens the door to $76,000.
❓ What do you think this is: top distribution or a hand-off before the breakout?👇
