Binance Futures has launched new listings again today, and the two USDT-margined perpetual contracts are coming in very close together.
At 14:45 on September 6, the PONSUSDT perpetual contract will go live; at 15:15, the HajiMiUSDT perpetual contract will go live.
Honestly, putting these two side by side is pretty contrasting. PONSUSDT offers 20x leverage, while HajiMiUSDT only offers 3x, so the platform’s leverage limits for different contracts clearly are not the same.
In fact, when new contracts go live, the thing that most easily gets people excited is not the project itself, but that early period right after launch. Order book depth, funding rates, and opening speed are often not fully stable yet. Especially when high leverage is available, getting the direction right feels great, but getting it wrong can be very fast too.
Personally, I’d treat this kind of thing as short-term market excitement and wouldn’t go in heavily right away. 20x sounds thrilling, but it also means very little room for error; 3x looks more conservative, and in a way that suggests the platform may also be controlling volatility.
