Midweek Quick Guide: Learn to Read the RSI and Avoid FOMO ๐๐
โ
โHappy Wednesday afternoon, community! It's midweek and the crypto markets have us all on our toes. One of the most common questions from new traders is: "How do I know if the price has gone up or down too much?".
โToday, weโre going to demystify a key and super useful tool: the RSI (Relative Strength Index) indicator.
โThe RSI measures the speed and change of price movements. On Binance, youโll see it as a line oscillating between 0 and 100. Hereโs how a pro interprets it:
โ1๏ธโฃ Key Zones (Not magical signals, but alerts):
โAbove 70 (Overbought): The asset may have shot up too quickly and is "expensive". Many traders look for short opportunities or adjust their Stop Loss, but be careful! A high RSI can stay that way in a strong trend. Donโt sell just because of the number.
โBelow 30 (Oversold): The asset may have fallen too fast and is "cheap". Itโs a zone of interest to look for possible entry points or bounces, but make sure thereโs confirmation from price action.
โ2๏ธโฃ The Magic of Divergences:
The most powerful signal of the RSI isnโt just being high or low. Itโs the divergence.
โIf the price makes a higher high but the RSI makes a lower high (Bearish Divergence), the bullish trend is losing steam.
โIf the price makes a lower low but the RSI makes a higher low (Bullish Divergence), the bearish trend may be running out of gas.
โDonโt rely on just one indicator, but the RSI is an excellent compass to complement your analysis. Education is your best tool! ๐
