Think about it: if withdrawals remain enabled, hackers could potentially exploit the situation to move funds out as well.

Temporarily suspending withdrawals is primarily a security measure designed to protect users and safeguard the remaining funds, not an indication that the platform has run out of liquidity.

CZ urges caution when visiting websites: what should crypto users watch out for?

What worries me more is this: something goes wrong with a website you know, and you keep clicking “confirm” out of habit.

On October 21, PHP released fixes for two critical vulnerabilities, CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619. Attackers may be able to execute code on unpatched website servers without logging in.

In the crypto space, one risk worth guarding against is this: a website is compromised, its pages are altered, and then fake airdrop, wallet upgrade, or verification prompts appear, tricking you into handing over account details or your seed phrase—or signing a dangerous authorization. There is another risk behind the scenes: data accessible to the server, such as sessions and credentials, may be exposed, affecting accounts and platform services.

This is an analysis of how the risk could spread. It does not mean that any particular exchange has been compromised, nor does it mean that simply opening a webpage will inevitably lead to lost funds. My view is that the market impact will depend on whether specific platforms later disclose damage, service outages, or financial losses. The vulnerability news alone is not enough to predict what will happen to prices.

For the next few days, follow a few simple rules:

① Avoid unnecessary interactions. Don’t claim airdrops through direct messages, ads, or unfamiliar links.
② If a webpage suddenly urges you to “upgrade security” or “verify your wallet,” stop. Never enter your seed phrase on a webpage, and don’t download patches from pop-ups. Update your browser and wallet through official channels.
③ Before signing, check the action, the recipient of the authorization, and the amount. If you don’t understand it, cancel. Even with a hardware wallet, verify the details on the device screen.
④ If you’ve made a suspicious authorization, check it through your wallet’s official channel. Disconnecting from a website does not automatically revoke existing token approvals.

Those who operate websites also need to complete the PHP security upgrade and check for intrusions. Updating a few WordPress plugins is not enough to consider the issue resolved.

Recognizing a domain name only means you’ve visited it before. What it asks you to enter, download, or sign today is what you should pay closer attention to.

A scammer sent a private message to me on telegram:-

SCAMMER:- ''Urgent ! Your Binance account has been compromised due to suspicious trading volume , please send your API key and seed phrase to Binance Support immediately to avoid a permanent account freeze ! "

ME:- OH Really? That is really a damm hard issue , by the way, which mode did you trace that volume from? Because I'm CZ , and I'm literally sitting in front of the screen right now , want me to check your account balance while I'm at it ?"

SCAMMER:- I'am really sorry sir. it was a dare given by my villain friend

Guess what happened next!

The scammer didn't just deleted the message he deleted his entire telegram account left some group too. And gone.

Moral:- next time a 'binance support' FAKER DM you asking about your secret key's or code ,just say Wait mate ,let me ask RICHARD TENG if this is protocol.

$ETH SCAM ALERT🚨: $24.23 MILLION IN STETH & RETH DRAINED VIA PERMIT PHISHING

An experienced DeFi user fell victim to one of the largest on-chain phishing heists in Web3 history, losing $24.23 million in cryptocurrency without ever exposing a password, private key, or seed phrase.
The attack exploited the ERC-20 Permit feature, a gas-saving mechanism that allows token transfers based on an off-chain signature alone. The victim connected their wallet to a site that cloned a legitimate decentralized protocol, where a malicious Permit signature request was disguised as a routine interaction.
The moment the victim signed, the attacker gained full authorization to move the funds. Within seconds, 9,579 stETH and 4,851 rETH were drained directly into the hacker's wallets, all without the victim manually sending a single transaction.
The incident was flagged live by security firm Scam Sniffer and is permanently verifiable on the Ethereum blockchain, proving that wallet signatures can be just as devastating as a leaked seed phrase.
