This is the Breakwave Tanker Shipping ETF, and it is the best-performing non-leveraged fund in the US this year, up roughly 3,600%. The rally is driven by disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz, which sent crude freight rates soaring nearly 500% year-on-year. Morningstar data confirms it is one of the best-performing non-leveraged funds of the year.
But the perpetual is trading at a slight discount to the underlying ETF. That gap suggests the futures market is not yet fully pricing in the freight rate momentum. The AVL line at 708.58 is the immediate pivot. A break above 720 could open the path toward 725, but the SuperTrend at 723.11 is capping the upside.

The Rare Earth Contrarian
MP is trading at 47.27, up 0.49% in the last 24 hours. The 24-hour high was 47.68 and the low was 46.01. Volume is extremely thin at 3,041.49 tokens, worth 143,488 USDT.
MP Materials is the largest rare earth producer in the Western hemisphere. The company just reported Q2 2026 revenue and PPA income of $126.1 million, more than double the prior-year period. NdPr sales volumes increased 127% year over year. The company is guiding to commercial magnet shipments to General Motors in Q4 2026, which is the key near-term catalyst investors are watching.
But the stock is down 4.87% in the underlying market, trading near $46.45. The perpetual is holding up better than the spot equity, which is unusual. The 46.01 low is the immediate support. A reclaim of 47.68 would signal buyers are back. Below 46.00, the next liquidity zone is 45.92.

The Lithium Rollercoaster
CRML is trading at 7.813, up 1.32% in the last 24 hours. The 24-hour range was 7.627 to 7.859. Volume is 45,029.75 tokens, worth 349,428 USDT.
Critical Metals Corp is the most volatile of the three. The stock has a 52-week range of $5.12 to $32.15. Short interest is a staggering 32.6% of the float, meaning nearly one-third of the available shares are sold short. That is a massive squeeze setup.
The company just announced breakthrough heavy rare earth results from its Tanbreez project in Greenland, achieving over 99% dissolution of eudialyte concentrate. A refinery study projects $1.8 to $2.2 billion in annual revenue. The company also closed its acquisition of a final 50.5% interest in Tanbreez, bringing ownership to 92.5%.
The perpetual is trading at a premium to the stock's close of $7.65. The 7.859 high is the immediate resistance. A break above that could trigger a squeeze toward 8.00. The 7.627 low is the line in the sand. Below that, 7.50 is the next support.

My Take
I am watching this launch day closely, but I am not chasing any of these setups yet. The volumes are too thin and the price discovery is still forming. BWET is the most compelling narrative but the perpetual is not yet tracking the ETF's momentum. MP has the strongest fundamental catalyst with the GM magnet shipments coming in Q4, but the stock is selling off. CRML has the most explosive squeeze potential with 32.6% short interest, but that cuts both ways.
I would rather wait for the first 24 hours of trading to establish real support and resistance levels before committing. The funding rate cap of ±2% with 8-hour settlements means the cost of holding positions can add up quickly. These are not assets to hold with high leverage.
