🚀 Kaspa Is Building a Common Foundation for Native Tokens on $KAS.
Three finalized standards are helping define how covenant applications and tokens can work across the
#Kaspa ecosystem.
Here’s why they matter 👇
🔹 KCC-1 — A Common Application Format Gives developers a shared structure for covenant applications, making it easier to build compatible tools and applications.
🔹 KCC-2 — Clear Authorization Rules Defines how actions are authorized, helping developers implement consistent rules for who can approve specific operations.
🔹 KCC-20 — Fungible Token Standard Provides a common format for fungible tokens, helping wallets, applications, and block explorers recognize and interpret token information consistently.
💡 What’s the practical impact?
✅ Less fragmentation between tools and applications. ✅ Easier integration for wallets and block explorers. ✅ A more consistent foundation for developers building token-based applications. ✅ Greater potential for interoperable applications across the ecosystem.
Because token balances are represented within coin outputs on Kaspa’s base layer, these standards help establish common rules for how applications interpret and interact with that data.
Core developer Michael Sutton (@michaelsuttonil) co-authored all three standards.
The bigger picture: Shared standards don't automatically create adoption, but they give developers a common foundation to build on. The next milestone is seeing wallets, applications, and infrastructure put these standards into practice.
One ecosystem. Shared standards. More room to build. ⚡
