$HUMA Two Consecutive Closes Back Above the Line: The Midday Question Got Its Answer at the Close—Discount from the 09:38 Post Revoked for Now
The midday post left one question unresolved: after
$HUMA closed a single 1h candle back above 0.02573 at 11:00, the 12:00 candle briefly dipped to around 0.02570 intraday, then fell back below the line to around 0.02562 before publication. Whether two consecutive closes back above the level would hold had to wait for the close.
Now the close has answered that question: the 12:00 1h candle closed at 0.02617, above 0.02573. Along with the 11:00 close at 0.02668, that makes two consecutive closes above the level. Under the criteria set out in the 09:38 post—one close back above the level is only a tentative reclaim, while a discount is revoked only after consecutive closes—the condition is met. The “reclaim confirmed, with a discount” status triggered by the high-volume breakdown at 08:00 this morning is revoked for now, and the reclaim is confirmed again.
First, let’s be clear about the quality of this move; don’t read too much into this candle. The 12:00 candle opened at 0.02667, reached a high of 0.02685, fell to a low of 0.02559, and closed at 0.02617. It dipped below the level intraday, but the close back above it is what counts. Volume was about 266,000 USDT, on par with the roughly 244,000 at 11:00, with no surge—so this confirms the reclaim, but it is not a high-volume acceleration. The 13:00 candle was around 0.02699 intraday, with a high of 0.02701, but it has not closed, so it does not count as a move above 0.0288.
Cross-check: shortly before publication, Binance spot was around 0.02696 and OKX perpetuals around 0.02688, a deviation of about 0.3%. The OKX funding rate was around 0.005%, near zero; open interest was about $1.54 million, unchanged from midday, with no short-squeeze setup. Spot 24h performance was about +8.9% (rolling basis), and 24h trading volume was about 11.59 million USDT.
Catalysts: No clear new catalyst found. The November 26 unlock is a future event, not a trigger for today’s move.
My take: The discount is revoked, but that is not a signal to chase longs. From here, watch only the closes: if the 13:00 1h candle closes above 0.02573, the revocation stands; if it closes back below, the consecutive reclaim is interrupted and the discount will be reassessed. The discount is restored only if there are consecutive closes below the level. A close above 0.0288 would be needed before discussing the next leg. An intraday touch above or below the line doesn’t count.
Risk warning: Altcoins are highly volatile. Everything above is based on closing prices; this is a tracking note, not investment advice.
What do you think: Do these two closes back above the level mean the recovery is back on, or are they only enough to revoke this morning’s discount, with the next candle still needing to confirm?
