The bridge, acting as a "layer" between the TON ecosystem (and the billion-strong Telegram user base) and Ethereum (EVM apps), was compromised. According to community reports and network analysts, the perpetrators pilfered assets totaling more than $3 million.

What went down?

The major fund withdrawal transactions occurred early on May 11. One of the largest was a bulk transfer of USDT via LayerZero, for instance, the Etherscan transaction that moved nearly 500,000 USDT. The hacker converted USDT to Ethereum, swapped it for ETH, and then turned it into DAI (the frost-resistant stablecoin).
