Coinbase's listing roadmap just got three new names: AXIS, PEARL and STABLE. Announced Monday via the @CoinbaseAssets account, the trio covers three distinct corners of the map. AXIS (Axis Labs) is a Base-native token tied to data collection for robotics machine learning — only ~16.5% of its 1B supply circulates at TGE. PEARL is the token of the Pearl Layer-1, which runs a "proof-of-useful-work" design pointing mining compute at AI workloads. STABLE is governance for StableChain, an L1 that uses USDT as native gas. Roadmap ≠ listing: trading still needs market-making support and technical readiness, and each token clears those conditions on its own timeline. Coinbase's advance-notice system is transparent by design — but it also lets the market front-run the actual launch. Context: $BTC trades at $81.5K (-1.5%/24h), $ETH near $2,390 (-1.9%) — risk-off tape today. Does the classic "Coinbase roadmap effect" still deliver the listing pop in this environment, or has the edge been arbitraged away? NFA. $BTC $ETH #Coinbase #Listings #CryptoNews #Altcoins

Coinbase connects to Thunes: Stablecoins fill the “last mile” gapThe hardest part of cross-border stablecoin ($USDT, $USDC) transfers has never been those few seconds on-chain—it’s getting the money into the recipient’s bank account or mobile wallet. On October 19 at Money20/20 USA, Coinbase and Singapore-based payments company Thunes announced a strategic partnership. Both companies published official blog posts and press releases. The partnership works both ways: 1) Coinbase connects to Thunes’ Direct Global Network, linking directly to local clearing systems and payment methods to send money to recipients’ bank accounts and mobile wallets. 2) In turn, Coinbase provides Thunes with stablecoin infrastructure, further embedding stablecoins into Thunes’ network.

I was still awake at 3 a.m., glued to an on-chain alert from Arkham—the U.S. government’s wallets had moved again. On Monday, 3,940 $BTC (about $244 million) and 30,014 $ETH (about $53 million) went straight into Coinbase Prime, totaling $297 million. Arkham traced the trail: the $BTC was linked to the “Xanaxman” Farace case and assets seized from the now-defunct BTC-e exchange, while the $ETH was tied to a money-laundering case involving an Oracle employee. We all know that in March 2025, Trump signed an order establishing a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve: the government’s coins must not be sold. But Coinbase Prime is both a custodian and a trading venue—once the funds are in, outsiders can’t tell whether they’ve been sold. And the government still holds 307,000 $BTC worth $25 billion, so this $297 million move represents less than 3% of its stash. So here’s the question: A. The U.S. Marshals Service is switching custodians—business as usual B. Quietly cashing out ahead of earnings season; the pre-dump warm-up is underway Sound off in the comments. 🌙 Banks close for the day, but dollars keep moving on-chain: stablecoins transfer over $400 million every hour Coinbase and The Block have just released a research report, “The Always-On Dollar,” analyzing data for the 12 months through July 31, 2026. A few findings caught my eye: 🔹 Organic stablecoin transfers average over $400 million per hour—even on holidays 🔹 73% of transfers take place outside U.S. banking hours 🔹 Adjusted Q3 transfer volume reached $891 billion, about 4 times the level in early 2023 🔹 The report projects that quarterly volume could reach $1.5 trillion by the end of 2027 🔹 Sending $200 in USDC on Base costs 86% less than traditional methods My take: People used to talk about stablecoins by asking, “Which one is cheaper?” But what these figures really show is something else: time itself is a source of demand. Paying a supplier on Friday night, sending money to family over the weekend, or having an AI agent settle payments automatically in the middle of the night—these are situations traditional banking systems simply don’t cover. The problem with banks isn’t that they’re slow; it’s that they “close.” Dollars on-chain have no business hours. Of course, high transfer volume doesn’t mean all of it represents real-world spending. It also includes funds moving between exchanges and market-making activity. But with 73% of transfers happening outside banking hours, it’s hard to explain that share away as just arbitrage. When do you usually transfer USDT? During the workday, or late at night/on weekends? Let’s talk in the comments 👇 #稳定币 #USDC #加密支付 #Coinbase

Why is it a strategic advantage that $ZBT is still not listed on #Coinbase ? Many traders see the lack of a listing on a U.S. Tier 1 exchange as a disadvantage, but in the dynamics of the crypto market, it often represents one of the most interesting asymmetries: 1. The catalyst premium remains intact When an asset is already trading on all the major exchanges, the major institutional and retail liquidity catalysts have been exhausted. The fact that $ZBT still isn't listed on Coinbase means that the event with the greatest impact on volume and visibility for the U.S. retail market remains on the horizon as a latent catalyst. 2. Risk/reward asymmetry for early adopters Taking a position before a token gains exposure to Coinbase's millions of verified users offers a completely different risk/reward ratio than buying on the day of the announcement. Concentrated liquidity rewards those who analyze fundamentals before the asset becomes accessible with a single click in mainstream apps. 3. Compliance and maturation filter Coinbase maintains strict compliance and liquidity standards under U.S. regulatory scrutiny. The time a project spends developing before reaching that milestone allows it to strengthen its infrastructure, decentralization, and governance model, reducing subsequent legal risks. The real value in Web3 comes from identifying projects with solid fundamentals before they receive the stamp of mass adoption. Do you think the listing will happen in the medium term, or would you rather see it consolidate liquidity on DEXs and other CEXs first? Binance and Coinbase Help Freeze $11 Million in West Africa, Renewing Focus on Crypto Payment Compliance According to CoinDesk, Binance and Coinbase took part in an anti-fraud operation in West Africa. Private-sector partners flagged $11 million in funds that could be frozen, while officials also reported cryptocurrency seizures. The significance is that leading exchanges are becoming more directly integrated into law enforcement processes. In the past, freezing crypto assets relied largely on on-chain tracking and court applications. Now, as exchanges serve as gateways for funds, the speed of their compliance responses directly affects law enforcement efficiency. For Coinbase ($COIN), being named as a participant reflects its role in compliance efforts, but could also add to its operating and legal costs. From a market perspective, the short-term impact on sentiment toward $COIN is neutral to mildly positive, as the event reinforces its positioning as a “compliant exchange.” But if more freezing cases emerge, or exchanges are asked to take on greater responsibility for identifying funds, expectations around the movement of user funds could be affected—particularly in West African markets that rely on cross-border payments. What remains to be seen is whether the $11 million will ultimately be frozen, which cryptocurrencies are involved, and whether the exchanges helped identify the funds or directly carried out the freeze. If future disclosures show that exchanges must take on more proactive screening obligations, compliance costs could rise and, in turn, affect earnings expectations. $COIN #Coinbase #CryptoRegulation The above is an information summary and personal analysis, and does not constitute investment advice. Just took a look at the order book, and Coinbase is looking interesting: Today's order book snapshot ($BTC 81,801): $25.28 million in sell orders versus $16.65 million in buy orders, with sellers ahead by $8.63 million. In the same snapshot yesterday, buyers were still ahead by $1.67 million. The tables turned overnight: bulls are canceling their orders, while bears are piling theirs on. And it's not just Coinbase: Binance's perpetual futures order book is also skewed toward sellers, though by a smaller margin. Add in the Coinbase Premium Index dropping to -0.079, its lowest since August 16, and it looks like U.S. buyers aren't stepping in. On-chain data is even more dramatic: over the past 24 hours, short-term holders moved around 34,000 $BTC to exchanges, with many selling at a loss. But there's another side to the story: Willy Woo flipped the script and said this is actually bullish—the U.S. is selling while Binance is absorbing the supply, so the money is moving, not leaving. Coinbase did something pretty wild today: just hours after Lighter’s LIT TGE launch, Coinbase turned around and announced it would list LIT for spot trading—moving faster than the project itself could discover a price. Even wilder: Lighter is a perpetuals DEX on Ethereum L2, and a direct competitor to Coinbase’s derivatives business. You run an exchange, then help an on-chain rival? The timeline from this week makes it click: Pump.fun just launched 40x perpetuals using Hyperliquid’s engine a couple of days ago, and Hyperliquid’s on-chain options have racked up $640 million in a few months. Perps are a juicy market, and CEXs and on-chain platforms are copying each other’s playbook. Neither wants the other to have it all. LIT’s price action is wild too: it plunged to 2.7 shortly after opening, then turned around and touched 3.8. A full 25% of the supply was airdropped to longtime users who farmed points in 2025, so retail traders were immediately fighting each other from the opening bell. Pick a side: A) On-chain perps really can take market share from CEXs / B) Listing is the peak—if you bought around $3 at launch, how much will you have left by the end of today? $ETH $BTC #Coinbase #PerpetualContracts

Are stablecoins starting to challenge the traditional card market? Coinbase partners with Marqeta, bringing new application opportunities to Base For cryptocurrency to truly become part of everyday life, perhaps not every merchant needs to accept crypto wallets. On October 16, payments technology company Marqeta announced an expanded partnership with Coinbase, enabling businesses to offer payment cards in the future that let customers spend against their stablecoin balances. According to the official announcement: ▪ Coinbase handles stablecoin custody and fiat conversion ▪ Base provides on-chain settlement infrastructure ▪ Marqeta handles card issuance and traditional payment networks ▪ Businesses can fund their card programs around the clock through the new solution This means stablecoins are trying to integrate with the existing financial system, rather than remaining confined to exchanges. However, I don’t think this partnership can yet be interpreted as a sign that demand on the Base chain is about to surge. The companies have not yet announced the new service’s actual transaction volume, official launch date, or specific fees. What’s really worth tracking is whether the partnership, once implemented, will generate new on-chain settlement activity—and whether that activity can create sustained transaction demand. Infrastructure gaining an opportunity for adoption is progress, but its true market value still needs to be demonstrated through real usage data. #coinbase $COIN #區塊鏈 #鏈上支付 {future}(COINUSDT)
Are stablecoins starting to challenge the traditional card market? Coinbase partners with Marqeta, bringing new application opportunities to Base

For cryptocurrency to truly become part of everyday life, perhaps not every merchant needs to accept crypto wallets.

On October 16, payments technology company Marqeta announced an expanded partnership with Coinbase, enabling businesses to offer payment cards in the future that let customers spend against their stablecoin balances.

According to the official announcement:

▪ Coinbase handles stablecoin custody and fiat conversion

▪ Base provides on-chain settlement infrastructure

▪ Marqeta handles card issuance and traditional payment networks

▪ Businesses can fund their card programs around the clock through the new solution

This means stablecoins are trying to integrate with the existing financial system, rather than remaining confined to exchanges.

🎯 Coinbase itself plunged 7 points 📰 Its app went down, and the stock briefly dropped to $169, down 7.2% for the day; meanwhile, BTC was still moving sideways around $81K. 💬 The market barely moved, but the platform ran into trouble first. Regulators tried to reopen an old case but were rebuffed by a judge, and now the exchange itself has stumbled again. Retail investor sentiment is definitely fragile right now. 🏷️ #Coinbase #交易所 #美股 #CryptoPlatform
