Blockchain.com has launched a new options trading feature for eligible users. The service allows for the purchase of call and put options on seven different assets, including bitcoin, ether, SOL, HYPE, AVAX, XRP, and TRX. These contracts feature expiries of up to one week and are funded in USDC via the company's Trading Account.

The trading experience requires a minimum premium of $5. Once a trade is confirmed, the options must be held until they reach their expiry date, as they cannot be sold or closed early. The amount paid for the premium represents the maximum potential loss for the user.

This move follows the company's recent application for U.S. regulatory licenses to offer crypto derivatives and prediction markets. Blockchain.com currently provides prediction markets through Polymarket and perpetual futures via Hyperliquid to certain international users.
