A few seasons ago, I needed to borrow Stablecoin just to rotate cash flowโ€”honestly, it was a nightmare. Keeping $BTC in a cold wallet meant it just sat there, generating no cash flow. But if I wrapped it into WBTC or tossed it onto a CeFi exchange, I couldnโ€™t sleepโ€”always terrified of hacks or an exchange going under. Anyone whoโ€™s ever been hit by a bridge depeg or had an exchange go bankrupt probably understands this awful feeling of being stuck between โ€œforwardโ€ and โ€œbackward.โ€ Last weekend, since I was free, I tested the Public Testnet for @babylonlabs_io and connected it to the new Aave v4 to see whether this path really solves the biggest pain point for fellow holders. Lock 0.15 tBTC into the Trustless Bitcoin Vault (TBV) on L1. On the Aave v4 Spoke side, it receives the collateral and immediately opens a limit of 2,500 USDC with an LTV of 70% and a Health Factor of 1.42. The best part is that the original 0.15 BTC stays safely put on L1โ€”no need for any messy bridge fees, and you absolutely never have to hand over anyone your Private Key. If you need working capital, you can get it right away. And you can still sleep with peace of mind, because the assets have never left your control. That said, it does take a bit of time. After finishing a cup of coffee while waiting for 6 L1 block confirmations, it took about 45 minutes. Also, the UI doesnโ€™t show a countdown bar, so it makes you think the order is stuck. The dev added a progress bar to track L1 block confirmation, and the whole experience feels smooth and delightful. Guys, is an LTV of 70% for Native BTC like this already safe enough for deploying big capitalโ€”or should we drop it down to 50% just to be extra sure? @babylonlabs_io $BABY #baby #BABY #Aavev4 #BTCFi

Ladies, I checked my AAVE position today, and it dropped nearly 90% from its peak, almost made me puke. But after cooling down and taking a closer look at the fundamentals, I increasingly feel that this price is a bit outrageous. Aave's current TVL is $12.8 billion, the top DeFi lending protocol, no doubt about it. They've racked up $2.2 billion in fees, still pulling in a steady $1 million daily. This is data from a bear market. Today, the founder Stani directly stated that V4 aims to capture the Wall Street securities financing market. Do you know how big that market is? The U.S. repo market alone has a daily balance of $12.6 trillion with $1.3 trillion in guaranteed financing. Heโ€™s not just talking big; V4 is already exploring connections with Circle's Arc chain. Last week, Aave withstood an $8.45 billion concentrated withdrawal, with utilization soaring to 100% but didn't collapse. The founder said this proves the protocol's resilience. Grayscale's latest report gives a target price of $175, and it's only at $75 right now. 95% of the tokens are already in circulation, so thereโ€™s almost no unlocking sell-off pressure. The bug bounty for V4 has increased fivefold, showing how much the team values the new version. When it dropped 88% from its ATH, that was precisely the time to take a serious look at the fundamentals. $AAVE #DeFi #AaveV4 #ๅ€Ÿ่ดทๅ่ฎฎ #CryptoProjectAnalysis

I opened The Babylon dashboard today expecting to spend a few minutes on The testnet But I ended up paying More Attention to The protocol's current stats than I expected. Current snapshot: โ€ข Total BTC TVL: 41,503.39 BTC (~$2.6B) โ€ข BTC Staking APR: 0.04%โ€“0.61% โ€ข Active Finality Providers: 33 (132 total) These numbers don't tell the whole story but they do give context. What stood out to me wasn't just the TVL. It was seeing thousands of BTC already participating while Babylon continues building native Bitcoin-backed borrowing through Trustless Bitcoin Vaults. The idea of keeping Bitcoin self-custodial Instead of relying on bridges is what made me explore the protocol in the first place. My takeaway after spending time with the testnet is that adoption matters more than hype. Dashboard metrics are useful, but I'll be watching how real usage grows and whether these numbers continue to strengthen over time. While Reading Babylonโ€™s Q2 Founders Call, I realized The biggest takeaway was not the October mainnet Target. It was the philosophy behind the product. Earlier this year, Babylon introduced The SCRIPT framework to explain what secure Bitcoin collateral should look like. It focuses on sovereignty, Transparent rules, permissionless design And Keeping Users in Control of their native BTC. After Reading the latest update, I can see those ideas moving Beyond research And closer to a real product through Trustless Bitcoin Vaults. For me, The strongest signal is not One announcement. It is The combination of $AAVE v4 progress, More than 2,000 Testnet vaults, continuous Security reviews and active community testing. That tells me The team is trying to validate The product before asking Users to trust it. I also like that Babylon is not presenting October as a guaranteed launch date. The team has made it clear that audits, governance approvals And Security remain The priority. That approach feels More responsible For Infrastructure designed to protect native Bitcoin. The question I keep thinking about is this: if users can borrow while keeping self-custody of their BTC, will they still choose wrapped Bitcoin? I believe the answer could shape the next chapter of BTCFi. @babylonlabs_io $BABY #baby #BTCFi #AaveV4 {future}(BABYUSDT)

First time trying to redeem 0.01 BTC on the @babylonlabs_io Public Testnet, I thought it would take only a few minutes for the BTC to return to my wallet like in my previous asset-withdrawal attempts, so I left my laptop running and waited. After a long time with nothing, I reopened the wallet a few times, then pressed F5 to see if the testnet was stuck. When I finally opened the docs and read the newly updated peg-out section, I realized I had been waiting for the wrong thing. Turns out that after submitting a BTC redemption request, the system doesnโ€™t try to make it fast. The BTC still has to go through the full process that was designed from the moment the Vault was createdโ€”waiting for confirmation on Bitcoin L1โ€”before it can return to the wallet. What I was waiting for wasnโ€™t a response from the server, but for Bitcoin itself to finish its part. Reading this made me remember that when creating the Vault I signed a lot of transactions, but back then I didnโ€™t pay much attention. Now I finally understand why Babylon does it that way. Feeling a bit impatient while waiting for the peg-out actually turned out to be part of the designโ€”not that the systemโ€™s responses were slow. During the peg-out process, if the interface clearly showed which step youโ€™re inโ€”for example, Bitcoin Confirmation or Vault Releaseโ€”users would know theyโ€™re just waiting for Bitcoin to process things, instead of thinking the transaction is stuck and repeatedly opening the wallet to check like I did (small suggestion). After this trial, if I have to wait a few more blocks, I probably wonโ€™t feel as impatient as I did the first time. @babylonlabs_io $BABY #baby $BTC #BABY โ #Aavev4 #BTCFi

At first I almost skipped the pre-signed transactions section. I thought to myself, simply: just sign a few transactions, it must be only a technical part. Reading it carefully, I realized that before $BTC was put into Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV), every transaction that could happen laterโ€”withdrawal of BTC, liquidation, and other escape routesโ€”had already been created and pre-signed. I sat there staring at that part for quite a while. If thatโ€™s true, then once the vault is created, no one would be sitting down to write a new transaction later to get the BTC out. If you want the BTC to take which route, that route must already exist from the very beginning. Thatโ€™s when I finally understood why Babylon almost didnโ€™t spend much time saying who holds the BTC. What they wanted to lock in right from the start was which paths the BTC is allowed to follow. Only now do I see why BitVM3 is noteworthyโ€”not because itโ€™s new, but because it made me rethink the word โ€œtrustless.โ€ Up to now, I kept thinking that โ€œtrustlessโ€ means you donโ€™t need to trust the person holding the assets. But in TBV, it feels like trust is shifted to a set of transactions that were pre-signed from the start. If, before clicking Sign, there were a diagram showing all the pre-signed transactions at once, then new people would immediately understand which routes of the BTC theyโ€™ve just lockedโ€”not just continuously confirming and moving on. For me, bitVM3 is no longer about how many components it has. I only need to know that before the BTC is sent into the vault, the routes itโ€™s allowed to take are essentially already decided from the start. @babylonlabs_io $BABY #baby #BABY โ #Aavev4 #BTCFi

For years the rule was clear: Bitcoin is meant to be stored, not used. Anyone who wanted to work with it in DeFi had to give something upโ€”security, custody, or the original BTC. The TBV of @babylonlabs_io challenges this rule. With Trustless Bitcoin Vaults, native Bitcoin becomes collateral directly on the Bitcoin network itselfโ€”without converting to another currency, without using a bridge, and without handing the key to anyone. Can AAVE replicate the UNI buyback upgradeโ€™s moonshot myth? Aave founder Stani Kulechov recently teased that Aavenomics 3.0 is on the way, replacing the current self-directed buyback plan of $1 million per week. Full details are expected to be unveiled in next quarterโ€™s earnings call. Why is this news worth paying close attention to? 1. Review of the current buyback mechanism Aave DAO launched a token buyback and burn program last April. Each week, it allocates $1 million from protocol profits to buy back AAVE. This โ€œprotocol self-blooding โ†’ token appreciationโ€ transmission mechanism has already rewarded AAVE holders. 2. The fundamentals are unbelievably strong Total V4 deposits have surpassed $200 million, while loans are close to $60 million. Protocol profits make up 80.7% of the lending market segmentโ€”crushing all competitors. Annualized revenue stands at $134 million with healthy cash flow. Standard Chartered has even called out a target price of $3,500 by 2030. 3. What could Aavenomics 3.0 bring? Building on the precedent of UNIโ€™s buyback upgrade, the buyback size may increase, the burn mechanism could become more aggressive, and token holdersโ€™ benefits may be further enhanced. What do you think? Can Aavenomics 3.0 become the catalyst for AAVEโ€™s next wave of a breakout rally? Drop your thoughts in the comments. #AAVE #Aavenomics #DeFiๅ€Ÿ่ดท #ๅŠ ๅฏ†่ดงๅธ #AaveV4

Aave V4 is turning $AAVE into DeFiโ€™s liquidity hub Aaveโ€™s Spokes setup is a serious expansion move, bros. It lets AMMs, perps, fixed-rate lending, and custom apps plug into the core protocol faster, while the DAO still collects fees from the flow. This is the kind of upgrade that can pull in more integrations, more usage, and more market share if execution stays tight. Early movers usually eat while weak hands sit on the sidelines.
