Return of SEC and CFTC Employees After Government Shutdown
According to Cointelegraph, employees of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are set to resume work after a 43-day break due to the U.S. government shutdown. The operational plans of the agencies state that employees must return on the next regularly scheduled workday after the enactment of the appropriations legislation, a detail confirmed by acting CFTC Chair Caroline Pham in a post on Thursday on X.
