U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated that the final version of the cryptocurrency market structure bill is expected to be submitted to President Donald Trump before Thanksgiving. The bill was originally set to be completed by September 30, and is now planned to be passed by the Senate Banking Committee by the end of September, and reviewed by the Agriculture Committee by the end of October. Lummis emphasized that the bill will be finalized by the end of the year, and will clarify the regulatory division of responsibilities between the SEC and CFTC for the cryptocurrency market.
