According to OAK Research, Plasma's collaboration with Binance through the Binance Earn product may further increase the TVL of Plasma USDT and could impact Tron. 98% of all fees paid on the Tron network come from USDT transfers; the usage of USDT transfers on Tron has only fallen below this level twice in the past three years since surpassing the 90% mark in 2023; the cumulative fees on the Tron network have reached 1.5 billion dollars, almost entirely from this single use. However, the DeFi adoption rate on Tron remains very low, with the only occasion where on-chain activity generated fees close to those of USDT transfers being the launch of SunPump.
