Belarus Receives Latest Batch of Russian Su-30SM2 Fighter Jets.

Belarus has strengthened its air combat capabilities with the delivery of a new batch of Russian-made Su-30SM2 multirole fighter jets on August 14, 2025. This marks the third delivery under the longstanding 2017 contract between Belarus and Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

The Su-30SM2 is an upgraded version of the Su-30SM, now featuring fully Russian-made components, replacing previous Western subsystems in line with Moscow’s import substitution strategy amid ongoing international sanctions. These advanced fighters are designed for air superiority and precision ground attack missions, significantly enhancing Belarus’ Air Force operational capabilities.

This delivery reflects the continuing military-technical cooperation between Belarus and Russia, aimed at bolstering their joint defense and strategic deterrence in the region.
