Over Ten Foreign Volunteers Unalived in Russian Missile Strike on Ukrainian Training Camp.
According to The New York Times (Aug. 12), a Russian missile strike at a Ukrainian training camp in the Kirovohrad region at the end of July resulted in more than ten foreign volunteers being unalived.
The victims reportedly included citizens from the United States, Colombia, Taiwan, Denmark, and other countries. The strike struck during lunchtime, causing significant casualties among international fighters.
An American recruit who survived described the explosion as the loudest he had ever heard, witnessing at least 15 unalived soldiers and over 100 wounded. Secondary explosions occurred as a nearby ammunition depot ignited, sending shrapnel across the camp.
The Ukrainian military intelligence agency overseeing the site confirmed the attack but withheld official casu∆lty figures pending investigation.
This tragic incident highlights the high risks faced by foreign volunteers serving in Ukraine’s armed forces.
