Donald Trump Jr. denies that family will launch new memecoin
In recent days, rumors about the launch of a new memecoin associated with Truth Social, the social media platform of U.S. President Donald Trump, gained momentum on social media. It all started with a tweet from influential cryptocurrency analyst Ran Neuner, who claimed that Trump's social network, Truth Social, planned to launch a new memecoin.
This is because, in the weekend leading up to the presidential inauguration, the memecoin $TRUMP dropped like a bomb in the market, moving billions of dollars in just a few hours. The token reached a market capitalization of $8 billion and a maximum price of $44.
However, after the initial hype, the memecoin lost traction and plummeted in price. Nonetheless, the project remains active and is attracting investors, especially after the announcement that the 25 largest holders of the token will be invited to an exclusive dinner with the President of the United States.
Youngest son denies new Trump memecoin
Therefore, when the news of yet another memecoin linked to Trump's name emerged, the entire market went into a frenzy. It would be another opportunity for traders to profit from the hype surrounding the first Crypto President of the Americas.
However, Trump's youngest son, Donald Trump Jr., threw cold water on the market's expectations. In a tweet, he stated that the topic is nothing but a rumor.
“There is no truth to the Truth Social launching a memecoin. Do not be fooled by false information circulating.”
In addition to him, WLFI, a DeFi project linked to the Trump family, also came forward to refute the rumors about a new memecoin. In a tweet, WLFI stated that there is no Trump memecoin about to be launched and that the only project supported by Trump is WLFI.
