David Bailey, CEO of media group BTC Inc. and advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump on cryptocurrencies during the 2024 election campaign, is preparing to launch a public investment company focused on Bitcoin. This was reported by The Information citing sources related to the matter.
According to the publication, the total amount of raised funding is $300 million, of which $200 million will be the equity of the newly formed company obtained by selling shares to private investors, and $100 million will be convertible debt.
The new project, which has not yet been officially announced, will be named Nakamoto after the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, following a merger with BTC Inc. According to media reports, this will be a public company focused on buying and holding Bitcoin as its primary asset.
