Ferrari has announced it will hike prices on select models by up to 10%, directly responding to the 25% import tariffs introduced by President Trump. The new pricing will take effect on April 1, with some models seeing increases of tens of thousands of dollars.
Up to $50,000 More for a Ferrari
The Italian supercar manufacturer confirmed that vehicles imported before April 3 will not be affected. After that, new trading terms will apply. For example:
Ferrari Purosangue (currently around $430,000) will see a price jump of $43,000.The limited edition Ferrari F80 (starting at over $3.5 million) will rise by more than $350,000.
Meanwhile, the Ferrari 296, SF90, and Roma will remain unchanged in price.
Why Ferrari Isn’t Worried About Losing Customers
Ferrari is confident that its wealthy customer base won’t be deterred by higher prices. The company maintains its ambitious 2025 financial goals:
Expected adjusted profit: €2.68 billion (~$2.88B).Forecasted revenue: over €7 billion (~$7.5B).
The automaker also highlighted that most of its cars are already sold out more than a year in advance.
Trump’s Tariffs Shake the Industry
President Trump recently announced a 25% tariff on all vehicles not built in the U.S. The move significantly impacts European automakers like Ferrari, which manufactures all its cars at its Maranello factory in Italy.
Key facts:
Over 50% of cars sold in the U.S. are imported.About 60% of parts in U.S.-assembled vehicles come from abroad.
Markets React, Analysts Warn
Analysts from JPMorgan and Bernstein warned that the tariffs might drive away price-sensitive customers and stall the auto market. JPMorgan has already cut Ferrari’s price target from $525 to $460, along with downward revisions for GM and Ford.
Estimates show:
Tariffs could cost the auto industry up to $82 billion annually.Light vehicle prices could rise by 11.4% if companies pass on the cost to buyers.
Ferrari Pushes Forward Despite the Headwinds
Despite growing economic uncertainty, Ferrari is moving ahead confidently. The company plans to launch six new models in 2025, including its first fully electric Ferrari, which will also be built in Italy.
