Yes, Ukraine has launched a significant drone attack deep within Russian territory, marking one of the most extensive operations of its kind since the onset of the conflict. 

On June 1, 2025, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) executed “Operation Spider’s Web,” an audacious mission that involved deploying over 100 first-person-view (FPV) drones from concealed mobile launchers inside Russia. These drones targeted multiple Russian airbases, including those in Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan, and Amur regions—some located thousands of kilometers from the Ukrainian border .  

The operation reportedly destroyed or damaged more than 40 Russian military aircraft, including strategic bombers like the Tu-95 and Tu-22M3, as well as A-50 airborne early warning planes. The estimated damage exceeds $7 billion, significantly impairing Russia’s long-range strike capabilities .  

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally oversaw the 18-month planning of the operation, which utilized drones hidden in wooden crates mounted on trucks. These drones were remotely activated to strike their targets, showcasing Ukraine’s evolving drone warfare capabilities . 

Russia’s Ministry of Defense acknowledged the attacks, labeling them as “terrorist attacks,” and claimed to have repelled some of them. However, the scale and depth of the strikes have been likened to a “Russian Pearl Harbor” by some commentators, underscoring the operation’s unprecedented nature .  

This escalation comes just before scheduled peace talks in Istanbul, potentially complicating diplomatic efforts. Ukraine maintains that the operation was a response to prior Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities .

I'm just going to vent!
I've been unemployed for a month, leaving my resume everywhere, my girlfriend is already treating me coldly, my mother-in-law looked me in the eyes and said that I'm not a man for her daughter, I was humiliated by my mother-in-law yesterday at my girlfriend's house, just because I'm not employed, she said she never wanted her daughter to date me, that I'm not on her level and all that, but I'm a hardworking person, I'm very hurt and sad, my girlfriend is already treating me coldly, I feel useless, I just wanted to be able to give my best, but I'm failing!
I can understand my mother-in-law to some extent, her daughter is in college for nursing and has a good standard of living, I don't have any of that, I only have a high school diploma, I couldn't afford college because I either work or study! One piece of advice I give to you who have a good family and invest in yourselves for a good future, thank God for having that opportunity, make your parents proud, study, give your best, because the person who doesn't have the same opportunity, I wish I could realize my dream of one day being a dentist, but I have to pay the bills, help my mother who is sick, she was choked by 11 doctors, she had cancer, but thank God she is healed! But this was just a vent, and because I'm very sad, for being nobody! I just wanted to be someone.
