At the APEX 2025 conference, Ripple announced that the XRP Ledger’s EVM-compatible sidechain will officially launch in Q2 2025. The testnet, live since early 2025, has seen rapid growth with 87 new entities joining the ecosystem—many with no prior XRP involvement.
