U.S. SEC Chairman Paul Atkins and CFTC Acting Chair Caroline Pham jointly proposed the "24/7 Market" policy, aiming to promote around-the-clock trading in the U.S. securities market to keep pace with global markets like cryptocurrencies. The two also proposed to relax restrictions on prediction markets and perpetual contracts, and to establish an "innovation exemption" for related DeFi protocols. The SEC and CFTC will hold a roundtable meeting on September 29 to further discuss these proposals. (Decrypt)
