According to BlockBeats, Arkham has revealed on social media that it has identified $5 billion worth of Bitcoin that the German government failed to seize. Earlier in 2024, German authorities confiscated 49,858 Bitcoins from the operators of the Movie2K piracy website and sold them in July 2024 at an average price of $57,900, generating $2.89 billion.

Arkham's investigation uncovered another cluster of Bitcoins linked to Movie2K's early activities, totaling approximately 45,000 Bitcoins, currently valued at $4.99 billion. These Bitcoins have remained unmoved since 2019 and are distributed across more than 100 Bitcoin wallets, likely still under the control of Movie2K operators. The amount is nearly equivalent to the Bitcoins that were seized.

The German government has not mentioned this additional batch of Bitcoins nor included them in the initial "emergency sale" plan.
