🇻🇪 NICOLÁS MADURO BECOMES THE CRIMINAL WITH THE HIGHEST REWARD IN US HISTORY: $50 MILLION
The United States doubled the reward for Maduro from $25 to $50 million this Thursday, August 7th. Attorney General Pam Bondi called him "one of the largest drug traffickers in the world" and leader of the Cartel of the Suns, accused of flooding the US with cocaine mixed with fentanyl.
To put it in perspective: Osama Bin Laden had a $25 million reward (just like the current leader of Al Qaeda). Saddam Hussein's sons had $30 million, but that was the amount paid, not offered. Pablo Escobar had $6 million. El Chapo Guzmán had $5 million.
⚖️ The accusations: drug trafficking with the FARC, collaboration with the Tren de Aragua and the Sinaloa Cartel, seizure of 30 tons of cocaine linked to him (7 tons directly), more than $700 million in seized assets including 2 private jets.
Venezuela responded by calling it a "ridiculous smokescreen" to distract from the Epstein scandal. Foreign Minister Yván Gil said that Bondi "promised a non-existent secret list of Epstein" and is now doing "pathetic propaganda". Cuba also condemned the measure.
