BOLSONARISTAS ALWAYS AGAINST BRAZIL
Trump's announcement to impose a 50% tax on Brazilian products exported to the US isolated bolsonarism in defending this measure. While Bolsonaro's allies tried to blame Lula and Alexandre de Moraes, sectors of the economy, including agribusiness, expressed concern and called for a firm response from Brazil.
The National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the American Chamber of Commerce also expressed concern over the tariffs, arguing that there is no economic justification for the imposition and that the measure could harm trade relations between the two countries.
Eduardo Bolsonaro argued that under his father's government, this would not have happened, while economist Paul Krugman criticized the tariffs, considering them a reason for Trump's impeachment, as they aim to punish Brazil for judging Bolsonaro.
Lula's government sees the situation as an opportunity to reconnect with productive sectors that previously supported Bolsonaro, uniting different fronts against Trump's decision.
