BOZONAZISTA IN PRISON: GREAT DAY!
The Brazilian federal deputy Carla Zambelli was arrested in Italy on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. The arrest was confirmed by the Ministry of Justice of Brazil and the Director-General of the Federal Police. Carla Zambelli had been a fugitive for almost two months after being sentenced by the Supreme Federal Court (STF) to 10 years in prison for leading a cyber attack on the system of the National Justice Council (CNJ).
The arrest was carried out by the Italian police in Rome, in a joint operation with the Brazilian Federal Police (PF) and Interpol. The STF had issued an arrest warrant and requested her extradition from Italy. Zambelli, who also holds Italian citizenship, had previously stated that she believed she was "untouchable" in Italy.
The Italian justice system will now review the extradition request and determine if it meets the requirements established by treaties between Italy and Brazil.
