On June 9, 2025, Sony Block Solutions Labs (SBSL) announced the launch of the 'Soneium For All' incubator to support developers of Web3 applications on the Soneium network, an Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain. The program, created in partnership with Astar Network and Startale Cloud Services, aims to accelerate the creation of games and consumer applications. Soneium, which operates on the Optimism OP Stack, already has over 7 million users, $215 million in total locked value, and processes 1.5 million transactions daily.
The incubator offers grants of up to $100,000 for projects with a minimum viable product (MVP) that has been operational for at least six months. Participants will receive mentorship, marketing support through official Soneium channels, and the opportunity to attract investments from the Sony Innovation Fund. A grant pool of $60,000 is available for projects that integrate the ASTR token from Astar Network. The program launches in the third quarter of 2025 and supports well-known IPs such as Solo Leveling and Ghost in the Shell.
