Recently, the cryptocurrency world has really become a chaotic mess! Prices are plummeting, and wealthy individuals are being kidnapped; it's even more thrilling than a TV drama. Let me share with you the latest situation I’ve seen:
On May 13th, the daughter of a cryptocurrency tycoon in France was out for a walk with her family in Paris when suddenly four masked men rushed out to kidnap them. Fortunately, the son-in-law fought back desperately, and a neighbor, seeing the commotion, grabbed a fire extinguisher to help them, allowing them to escape a crisis. Just thinking about it is terrifying; they dared to do this in broad daylight!
This is already the third kidnapping case targeting cryptocurrency tycoons in France this year. In January, the founder of Ledger was kidnapped at home and was not treated lightly. If you ask me, these kidnappers have their eyes on two characteristics of cryptocurrency: one is that transfers are hard to trace, and the other is that these new rich people love to flaunt their wealth too much.
To make matters worse, the prices of cryptocurrencies have been like a rollercoaster these days. Bitcoin dropped directly from 104,000, Ethereum fell by 5%, and Dogecoin fared even worse, losing 6% in just one day. The total liquidation amount across the network exceeded 200 million USD, with over 100,000 people getting liquidated.
Now everyone is guessing:
- Is it a security issue affecting market confidence?
- Or is it the strengthening dollar pulling funds away?
- Or are those worthless coins crashing dragging down the market?
My personal advice to you all:
1️⃣ Invest discreetly, don’t flaunt wealth everywhere
2️⃣ It’s best to keep large assets in cold wallets
3️⃣ Definitely avoid high leverage, as it’s easy to get liquidated
4️⃣ Stay away from those worthless coins endorsed by celebrities
