On May 14, 2025, the Ethereum Foundation officially launched the "Trillion-Dollar Security Initiative" (abbreviated as 1TS), aimed at comprehensively strengthening the security of the Ethereum network to prepare for the future hosting of trillions of dollars in on-chain assets. 

The initiative covers three core areas: 

1. Comprehensive Security Mapping: Systematically identifying and patching potential security vulnerabilities within the Ethereum ecosystem. 

2. Key Area Strengthening: In-depth reinforcement of critical components such as smart contracts and validator mechanisms. 

3. Security Awareness Upgrade: Enhancing the security awareness of developers and users, promoting the construction of a security culture across the entire ecosystem. 

This initiative is co-led by Fredrik Svantes, the head of Ethereum protocol security, and Josh Stark, a member of the EF management team, and invites senior security experts such as samczsun, founder of SEAL, and Mehdi Zerouali, co-founder of Sigma Prime, to serve as advisors.
