$ETH

Technical analysis shows that after ETH successfully broke through the support level of $1,800 in early May, it gradually challenged the key resistance level of $2,500. If it can maintain this level, the next target may point to $3,000.

On the fundamental side, Ethereum completed the Pectra upgrade in early May, which is one of the most significant updates since the merger in 2022. This upgrade introduced 11 improvement proposals aimed at enhancing transaction speed, reducing costs, and improving wallet user experience. Additionally, the staking cap was raised from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH, providing greater flexibility for large stakers.

Nevertheless, ETH still dropped about 45.5% in 2025, underperforming compared to competitors like Bitcoin and Solana. Analysts point out that Ethereum's relatively slow and costly operations may hinder its performance. However, supporters believe that Ethereum's dominance in the decentralized applications and smart contracts space still grants it long-term growth potential.
