🚨 WSJ: TRUMP MAY REDUCE CHINESE TARIFFS BY UP TO 50%
According to the WSJ, the Trump administration is considering a sharp cut in tariffs on imports from China — possibly by more than 50% — to ease trade tensions. No final decision has been made and options are still being considered.
One option is to implement a tiered tariff system:
🔸 35% for non-strategic items
🔸 More than 100% for items related to national security
🔸 Gradual implementation over 5 years
Earlier this morning, President Trump also confirmed that the current 145% tariff could be reduced, but "it won't go to zero."
China has indicated a willingness to talk but warned that it will not negotiate if threatened by the US.
