End of the war against cryptocurrencies?
#PaulAtkins a recognized ally of the cryptocurrency industry, has sworn in to formally assume the presidency of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
This appointment marks a significant shift in the agency's direction, replacing #GaryGensler , who was widely regarded as the main antagonist of the crypto industry in the U.S. government.
The agency has also issued statements clarifying that certain aspects of cryptocurrencies fall outside its securities jurisdiction.
The new chairman expressed his honor for the "trust" placed in him and his enthusiasm for collaborating with the other commissioners.
"Together we will work to ensure that the United States is the best and safest place in the world to invest and do business," he stated in a press release.
