James Howells has been hunting for a hard drive containing private keys to 8,000 BTC (~$660M) in a Newport landfill since 2013.
After yet another rejection ā this time by the UK Court of Appeal, which called his case āno realistic chance of successā ā Howells now plans to take his fight to the European Court of Human Rights, claiming a violation of his right to property and a fair trial.
ā Meanwhile, the landfill where the drive may be buried could shut down by 2025ā2026.
