Mixed opening in the US after Trump announced new tariffs 📉

What seemed to be a strong opening for US stocks lost momentum after President Trump clarified his recent thoughts on tariffs. In a post on Truth Social, he announced that tariffs against Mexico and Canada will begin on March 4 (next Tuesday), along with an additional 10% tariff on China.

Previously, comments made in a cabinet meeting suggested that these tariffs would only begin in April.

Nasdaq 100: Futures reduced gains from over 1% to about 0.6%.

S&P 500: Futures with marginal gains.

Dow Jones: Futures now declining.

The US dollar index rose 0.5% with the news.

In the cryptocurrency market, which has already been under pressure in recent weeks, prices remain stable at low levels. Bitcoin (BTC) fell in the last hour, quoted at $83,800.
