Everyone Is Expecting Another Crazy Pump on
$Q , But the Data Is Telling Us Something Interesting
So guys, we all know how volatile
$Q can be. Just a few days ago, we saw a massive pump followed by a sharp dump. We also analyzed both the upside and downside possibilities and shared our thoughts with you.
But now, the latest data is showing us something interesting.
First, look at the Long/Short Ratio. Around 68% of traders are long, while only 32% are short. This means most traders are expecting the price to move higher. When so many traders are positioned in the same direction, we need to be careful because the market doesn’t always move the way the majority expects.
Now, the Open Interest.
#Q Open Interest is around $25.2M, up 33.20% in the last 24 hours. This means the total value of open futures positions has increased significantly, showing that more positions are entering the market.
We can see strongly negative funding rates across Binance, Bybit, and Huobi. This means short traders are paying long traders to keep their positions open. Despite most traders leaning long in the Long/Short data, the negative funding suggests that the positioning picture is more complex than it first appears.
So, what might happen next?
In my view, since around 68% of traders are already positioned long, we could see a short-term correction if buying pressure weakens or traders start taking profits. However, if buying pressure continues and
#Q maintains its recovery, we could see another move to the upside. The negative funding rate is also worth watching, as a further price increase could put additional pressure on short positions.
