🚨 Do I lose my money if I cancel a limit order?

Today I learned that the answer is no.

A limit order is simply an instruction you give Binance to buy or sell an asset only when it reaches the price you chose.

As long as that order is open, the $USDT you set aside are locked for that purchase.

They don’t disappear or get lost; they’re just committed to that order.

If you decide to cancel it before it executes, something very simple happens:

✅ The order is removed.

✅ Your USDT are no longer reserved.

✅ Your balance becomes available again so you can use it in another trade.

That said, whether to cancel it or keep it depends on your strategy.

📈 If the price you chose still makes sense to you, you might prefer to wait.

🔄 If you change your mind or need those funds for another opportunity, canceling the order can be an option.

💰 Reserved USDT are not lost when you cancel a limit order.

🚀 Today I tried to make my first Futures trade… but I couldn’t 🤪

And, as strange as it sounds, it was also a learning experience.

I wanted to open my first position with low leverage to understand how this tool works in practice.

However, I ran into an important detail: I didn’t have any USDT available 😅, because they’re locked up in a limit order to buy $BTC if the price reaches the level I set.

At that moment, I understood something that many times we don’t notice when we start: funds reserved in a limit order can’t be used for another trade at the same time.

So today there was no trade… but there was a lesson.

When that order executes or gets cancelled, I’ll have USDT available and I’ll start with simple leverage, investing a small amount.

My goal isn’t to make money quickly, but to understand how Futures work step by step and learn how to manage risk.

🚀 Are Long and Short the same as Calls and Puts?

If you come from the stock market like I do, you’ve probably asked yourself this same question.

The short answer is: they’re similar, but they’re not the same.

📈 Long = Taking a position expecting the price to go up.

📉 Short = Taking a position expecting the price to go down.

So far, it looks a lot like:

✅ Call → bullish expectation.

✅ Put → bearish expectation.

But there’s an important difference.

With options, you buy a contract that gives you a right, and its price also depends on factors like time and volatility.

In cryptocurrency futures, your profit or loss depends mainly on the movement of the asset’s price. Plus, you can use leverage, which increases both the potential profit and the risk of loss.

💡 Understanding this difference can help you choose the right instrument for your strategy and your level of experience.

And you reply:

"Yes... and everyone said it was expensive."

I don’t know what the price of Bitcoin will be in 20 years.

But what I do know is that, throughout history, many opportunities seemed "too expensive" before becoming part of everyday life.

That’s why my goal isn’t to guess the next market move.

📒 On the Road to the Million Satoshis | What I learned this week from 07/27/26 to 08/02/26

This week $BTC not only tested my strategy...

It also tested my patience.

At the start of this journey, I thought the most important thing was to find the best time to buy.

Today I understand that there are much more valuable things.

✅ I learned that I shouldn’t let myself be swayed by all the comments I see on social media about Bitcoin. Each person has an opinion, but my strategy should be based on what I’m learning.

✅ I found that Binance offers tools that go far beyond buying and selling, and that can help me diversify my income while I keep accumulating.

✅ I was surprised to see that Bitcoin dropped again. Instead of panicking, I opened the charts and looked at different timeframes. That helped me understand that the same move can look very different depending on the time horizon.

✅ I started optimizing my portfolio so my money isn’t just sitting there waiting, but working more efficiently.

✅ I also made a mistake: I ran out of USDT to take advantage of new opportunities. Now I understand the importance of preserving liquidity when the market offers good prices.

🎯 But my biggest lesson was this:

Patience is also an investment strategy.
I don’t need to get every market move right. I need to keep learning, stick to my plan, and stay consistent.

Why?

Every chart I look at teaches me something new. Each piece of news I analyze more calmly. And every purchase is part of a learning process.

Many believe that I only buy $BTC ... but from day one I have followed a plan.

Today I didn’t buy Bitcoin.

But I did set up three limit orders.
📍 63,000 USD
📍 62,000 USD
📍 61,000 USD

I don’t know if the market will reach those levels.
And honestly... I don’t need to.

A while back, I realized that trying to guess the next move $BTC me was causing more stress than results.

Now I prefer to have a plan and let the market do its job.

If the price drops, I’ll automatically buy.
If it doesn’t drop, I’ll just wait.

I’m learning that patience is also part of a good strategy.

🎯 My goal is still the same: to steadily accumulate satoshis and document everything so other beginners can learn with me.

You don’t need thousands of dollars to start investing in Bitcoin.

I’m building my position little by little, making small purchases when the price reaches the levels I defined earlier.

My goal isn’t to guess the market.

My goal is to be consistent.

Each purchase means more satoshis in my wallet and one more step toward my target.

🎯 Personal goal: reach 1,000,000 satoshis.
Currently I have 396,662 satoshis.

It doesn’t matter if you move fast or slow.

The important thing is to keep learning and stick to a strategy.

📊 A timeframe that made me stop to observe.

Today I was reviewing the chart on the 1-week timeframe of $BTC and something caught my attention.

The moving averages show a structure that, from my point of view, looks bearish on this timeframe.

When we think about inheritance, we imagine a house, land, or money in the bank.

🌎 But the world is changing.

Maybe the next generation will not only inherit physical assets.

30 years ago, the Internet seemed like a distant idea.
