🏦 The Binance TradFi Map: What Can You Actually Trade?
TradFi on Binance can look complicated at first, but the basic idea is simple: different products give you different ways to gain exposure to traditional markets.
🥇 Gold & Silver Perpetuals
Contracts such as XAUUSDT and XAGUSDT track gold and silver prices. They are perpetual contracts, meaning they don't have a standard expiration date. You trade the price movement—you don't own physical gold or silver.
📈 Stock Perpetuals
These are derivatives designed to track selected U.S. stocks. If you trade a stock perpetual linked to Apple, for example, you're trading the price movement of the contract, not buying Apple shares or becoming a shareholder.
📊 ETF Perpetuals
These track selected exchange-traded funds such as ETFs linked to major market indices. Again, you're trading a derivative rather than owning the ETF itself.
⚡ U.S. Stock & ETF Options
Options work differently. A Call gives the buyer the right to buy at a specified strike price, while a Put gives the right to sell. Options have an expiration date and require understanding of premiums, strike prices and time.
🥇 Gold & Silver Options
You can also find options linked to precious metals. Unlike perpetuals, options have defined expirations and strike prices.
So the simplest way to remember it:
Perpetuals → price exposure + no standard expiration
Options → strike price + premium + expiration
Stocks/ETFs/commodities → the underlying market being tracked
And perhaps the most important distinction:
TradFi exposure ≠ ownership.
Before trading any product, understand what the contract represents, how it is priced, what fees or funding may apply, and what risks come with it.
Different markets. Different products. Different mechanics.
Learn the product before you trade the product. 📚
