$STRK just gave back its ENTIRE October rally. To the cent. Oct 2 close: $0.04297. Now: $0.04298. In between, a run to $0.1265 on Oct 11 (+194% in 9 days) and a 66% slide from that top. What the chart says today: • 24h: -2.9%, range $0.04245–0.04451 • 7-day: -4.8%, low $0.03982 (Oct 30), high $0.04845 (Oct 28) • 24h volume ~$2.2M vs $104M on Oct 11 peak day That volume collapse is the real story. Sellers aren't panicking anymore, but buyers aren't showing up either. Sunday liquidity explains part of it, not all of it. Meanwhile BTC is flat (+0.4% 24h), so this isn't a market-wide flush. Levels I'm watching: $0.0398 (this week's low) as the floor, and $0.0485 as the ceiling that has capped every daily high since Oct 25. Ecosystem side: StarkWare and the Starknet Foundation reported cutting the gas cost of verifying Falcon-512 post-quantum signatures by about 46% (Oct 29), the kind of long-game research that rarely moves price in the short run. On the supply side, the monthly 127M STRK unlock lands again on Nov 15, worth keeping on the calendar. Low-volume bases can break either way, and STRK has shown how fast it moves in both directions. Size accordingly. Base building here, or just a pause before the next leg down? Not financial advice. #Starknet #Altcoins #CryptoTrading

$STRK just round-tripped its ENTIRE October pump. Early October it closed near $0.043. By Oct 11 it tagged $0.1265. Today it sits at $0.0443, about 65% below that high and basically back where the run started. What the tape says right now: • 24h: +0.1%, range $0.0428 – $0.0461. Dead flat. • 7d low: $0.0398 (Oct 30). That's the line bulls have to hold. • Volume: ~$3.1M in 24h vs ~$104M on the Oct 11 peak day. The crowd has left. The project side hasn't gone quiet, though. This week StarkWare rolled out Shadow Accounts, built on the STRK20 privacy framework, letting DeFi users keep positions separate from their main wallet. And the team said earlier this month it's considering a move toward running as its own L1, which was a big part of the October hype. So the question is whether fundamentals catch up with a chart that has fully deflated. Shrinking volume at the lows can mean sellers are exhausted, or simply that nobody cares yet. A clean reclaim of ~$0.046 with volume would say more than any headline. Losing $0.0398 opens fresh lows for the month. STRK is a high-beta, low-liquidity coin. Size accordingly. Accumulation zone or dead cat waiting to happen? Not financial advice. #Starknet #STRK #Altcoins

trade Setup: Starknet $STRK {spot}(STRKUSDT) Outperformance Play While the rest of the market bleeds, Starknet ($STRK) is showing massive relative strength, up over 54% in the last 24 hours. The volume profile is surging on the 1-hour chart, breaking a macro downtrend while the majors are dragging. This is a high-probability continuation scalp on a clear trend leader. **The Setup: $STRK / USDT** - Entry Zone: $0.098 - $0.103 (Buying the first significant pullback to the 1-hour 21 EMA / VWAP). - Target 1 (TP1): $0.122 (Retest of the local breakout high). - Target 2 (TP2): $0.140 (Structural resistance and psychological level). - Stop Loss (SL): Hourly close below $0.090 (Invalidates the intraday bullish structure). **The Rationale:** In a weak market, you want to trade what is strong, not what is cheap. $STRK has now given back the ENTIRE L1-hype rally. Every cent of it. Quick timeline from Binance spot daily candles: • Oct 1 close: 0.0418 • Oct 11 peak: 0.1265 (that's roughly 3x in ten days) • Now: 0.0442, about 65% below the top The catalyst was StarkWare openly weighing a move for Starknet from Ethereum L2 to its own L1, pitched around quantum resistance. It's still a proposal, not a shipped change, and the market has clearly stopped paying a premium for the story. What I find more interesting is today: STRK is +4.1% over 24h while BTC is down 2.2%. Range was 0.0398 – 0.0456, so it briefly lost 0.04 and bounced hard. But check the volume. Daily turnover is around 7M USDT vs 104M on the peak day. Bounces on volume this thin can fade just as fast. Starknet Ran 336% in 24 Days, Then Gave Back 65%. What's Left?$STRK ran from a $0.0290 close on Sep 17 to a $0.1265 high on Oct 11. That is +336% in 24 days. Today it trades at $0.0440 on Binance spot, 65% below that high and -6.6% in the last 24h. So what was the rally actually about, and what is left now that the dust is settling? The catalyst: an L2 thinking about becoming an L1 Most of the layer-2 conversation this cycle has been about fees, sequencers and who captures value from Ethereum blockspace. Starknet changed the script. On Oct 8, StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson raised the idea of Starknet becoming an independent layer 1, and the core argument was quantum security. Starknet's STARK proofs rely on hash functions, which are considered more resistant to known quantum attacks than the elliptic-curve signatures most chains use. But the parts of Starknet tied to Ethereum still follow Ethereum's upgrade timeline, and the Ethereum Foundation's quantum-resistance goal is December 2029, which Ben-Sasson has called too late. Token holders then ran a non-binding Snapshot poll that closed on Oct 22 with 93.52% of voting power in favor. Important detail: it approves research only. A joint StarkWare / Starknet Foundation working group is expected to publish a draft whitepaper in November, and any real move away from Ethereum would need separate governance votes. Why the price gave most of it back Three things lined up against the rally: 1. It was mostly narrative. Nothing has shipped yet, so traders priced the headline and then took profit. 2. Supply. Roughly 127M STRK unlocked on Oct 15, about 3.3% of circulating supply, right after the peak. 3. Participation dried up. Average daily STRK/USDT spot volume on Binance was about $57M during Oct 8–15. Over the last 7 days it averaged about $6.6M, roughly 89% lower. What the chart says now Since Oct 21 STRK has printed mostly lower closes, and today's low of $0.0398 was the first trade below $0.040 since Sep 29. That $0.040 area is the obvious line, roughly the floor of the late-September base. Above, the $0.048–0.049 zone capped every bounce of the past week. Measured against ETH, the asset of the chain it settles to, STRK still holds a gain: the STRK/ETH ratio is up about 66% since Sep 17, while $ETH itself is -6.2% on the week at $2,239. The bigger L2 question Whether or not Starknet ever leaves Ethereum, this episode showed something useful about L2 tokens: the market pays for a story about sovereignty and security far more than for another throughput upgrade. The November whitepaper is the next real data point. If it contains concrete consensus, data-availability and validator plans, the narrative gets substance. If it stays vague, the low-volume drift we see now is the likely default. STRK is a high-volatility, low-liquidity asset compared with the majors. Moves of 10%+ in a day have been routine this month, so size positions accordingly. Do you think L2s going independent is the next big narrative, or a one-off? Not financial advice. #Starknet #Layer2 #Crypto

The catalyst: an L2 thinking about becoming an L1
Most of the layer-2 conversation this cycle has been about fees, sequencers and who captures value from Ethereum blockspace. Starknet changed the script. On Oct 8, StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson raised the idea of Starknet becoming an independent layer 1, and the core argument was quantum security. Why the price gave most of it back
Three things lined up against the rally:
1. It was mostly narrative. Nothing has shipped yet, so traders priced the headline and then took profit.

$STRK has given back almost all of its October hype. Quick recap: on Oct 9 Starknet said it is "actively considering" moving from an Ethereum L2 to its own Layer 1, with quantum security as part of the pitch. The token ran from roughly 0.049 to a 0.1265 high on Oct 11. Since then it's been a slow bleed, three weeks of lower highs. Where it stands now: • Price 0.0445, -4.0% in 24h (BTC is -3.1%, so this is partly just the market) • 24h range 0.0398 – 0.0480. That low wicked right into the late-September base • About -65% from the peak and -10% on the week • 24h volume ~$11.5M vs a 20-day daily average near $26.5M. The excitement is gone How I read it: 0.040 is the line. That's where the whole move started, and buyers defended it again today. Losing it on a daily close would mean the L1 story is fully priced out. To change the tone, I'd want a reclaim of 0.048 with volume coming back, not just a thin bounce. The L1 idea is still only a plan under discussion, nothing is decided. Until there's concrete news, this trades like a high-beta alt, and low-cap moves cut both ways. Size accordingly. Is the 0.04 area a base for you, or still just a falling knife? Not financial advice. #Starknet #STRK #Altcoins

That 93.52% for Starknet has been spun by a bunch of accounts over the past two weeks into “L2 is moving to L1” and “a new post-quantum narrative.” I can’t help but laugh. Let’s get the facts straight: what ended on October 22 was a non-binding vote on whether to “research” an independent post-quantum L1, not whether to “migrate.” If they really want to leave Ethereum, they’ll need to hold another vote. The white paper draft isn’t due until November. In plain English, nothing has been decided yet. Now, about that 93.52%. That’s the share of voting power, not the number of people. Around 3,236 votes were recorded. With governance-token voting, voting power naturally concentrates in the hands of whales and team-related addresses. Make of that what you will when it comes to how much this percentage says about “community consensus.” Now look at the market. One person tracked STRK falling from a high of around 0.123 in October to about 0.047—a drop of more than 60%. The same person’s data showed Starknet DeFi TVL falling from around $158 million on October 21 to about $41 million, while Extended also moved to Arc. The ecosystem is moving out, while the official line is about quantum computers. The funniest part is the replies: a whole row of “93.52% is huge” and “makes the move seem real,” with single-digit view counts and exactly the same phrasing. Using this kind of engagement as evidence of hype is no different from fake orders. I’m not saying post-quantum security isn’t important. STARK proofs, which are hash-based, really do have a stronger case than the elliptic-curve approach. But there’s a huge gap between “let’s research it” and “it’s worth buying.” Wait for the white paper, wait for the second vote, and wait for TVL to stop falling before talking up the narrative. Anyone rushing in now is probably just providing an exit for people who need to sell. #Starknet #STRK

Will quantum computing wipe out all current on-chain signatures in one fell swoop? This topic has been heating up again lately. Starknet is pretty interesting: accounts themselves are smart contracts, so signature schemes can be upgraded without moving addresses or history; STARK proofs take a hash-based approach, making them more resilient to quantum threats; and it’s also pushing post-quantum signatures like Falcon-512, while bringing verification costs down. Quantum isn’t just around the corner, but the idea of “changing the locks without moving house” is a lot more practical than empty claims of quantum resistance. #Starknet #STRK #CryptoSecurity

The Starknet you imagine: Quickly freezes the 428 $STRK transferred by the hacker, saving Binance from a $19 loss; The actual Starknet: 19.5 million $STRK were transferred out of Binance’s hot wallet by a hacker, who successfully swapped them for 331 ETH. Even if we give it the benefit of the doubt, the liquidity for these $STRK is on Ethereum mainnet, not Starknet L2. Even if Starknet wanted to freeze it, it couldn’t. #STARKNET $STRK {spot}(STRKUSDT)

The story about Starknet freezing 428 tokens transferred by the Binance hacker, worth about $19, of $STRK tokens is just something to laugh at; there’s no on-chain evidence proving it’s true.

Enabling the freeze privilege isn’t as simple as founder @EliBenSasson or any other single privileged person clicking a freeze switch to freeze things with one click.

Like Arbitrum, Starknet requires signatures from 9 of the 12 multisig members of the Security Council (SC) to carry out an emergency freeze.

You’re telling me Starknet went to all that trouble coordinating the multisigs just to help Binance recover $19? Yeah, right.

The yield strategy platform Troves on Starknet lost about 8.6 units of $BTC from one vault on October 31, not because of a new vulnerability, but because an old version of the asset rebalancing contract that had already been replaced still retained operating permissions. Afterward, the team revoked the contract’s permissions and proactively paused the three vaults xWBTC/WBTC, xSTRK/STRK, and xstrkBTC/strkBTC, saying no actual losses had been found in other vaults so far. At the same time, they reached out to the attacker on-chain, offering a white-hat bounty of 1 unit of $WBTC in exchange for returning the remaining funds. A loss of 8.6 BTC is not huge, but incidents like this are the easiest to overlook and the easiest to prevent in advance: when replacing a contract, whether the old permissions were truly cut off. A detailed postmortem report and a plan for handling affected depositors have not yet been released, and that is what these people are really waiting for. #DeFi安全 #Starknet

$STRK just handed back almost the entire October run. Peak on Oct 11 was $0.1265. Today it's trading around $0.0426, down 10.5% in 24h and roughly 66% off that high. It now sits only about 2% above where it was 30 days ago. Today's range: $0.0415 – $0.0485. What stands out to me is volume. About $7M traded today, versus a 30-day daily average near $23M. Price is bleeding without much participation from either side. That's not panic selling. It's buyers stepping away. The project angle: the L1 narrative that drove the pump is still only research. Stakers backed exploring an independent layer one in a non-binding Snapshot poll (93.5% yes, closed Oct 22). StarkWare and the Foundation have formed a working group to draft a white paper, which then goes to another vote. L2BEAT has publicly pushed back on the idea. Meanwhile DeFiLlama puts Starknet TVL around $41M. The market priced the story first and is now waiting for substance. Levels I'm watching: $0.0415 (today's low), then the $0.040 area from late September. To call this more than a dead-cat bounce, I'd want to see a reclaim of $0.047–0.048 on real volume. Small cap, thin liquidity, recurring unlocks. Size accordingly. Is the L1 white paper enough to bring buyers back, or is this narrative done? Not financial advice. #Starknet #Altcoins #CryptoAnalysis

The headline “Starknet is leaving Ethereum” has been hyped by repost accounts for nearly ten days. After reading the original vote, all I can say is: stop making up a breakup drama. The facts are pretty simple: The Snapshot vote that ended on October 22 was non-binding. It had 3,236 votes, representing about 489.3 million STRK in voting power. 93.52% voted in favor of “researching” an independent, quantum-resistant L1. StarkWare abstained. Any actual migration would require a separate binding vote, and the draft white paper is reportedly not due until November. In the hands of clickbait accounts, that became “JUST IN: Vote to leave Ethereum” and “Ethereum’s biggest test.” One account even slapped on an exchange referral link and told you to “expect a 60% rally.” 93% sounds like a public referendum, but it was tokens held by whales doing the voting—just a few thousand addresses—and the question was whether to “write a research report.” There’s also a logical issue nobody’s talking about: An L2’s most valuable selling point is that it borrows Ethereum’s settlement and security. If it really goes solo, it has to shoulder the validators, liquidity, and cross-chain bridges itself. Whether that quantum-resistance head start (they say 2027, versus Ethereum’s 2029 roadmap) is enough to make up for all that is anyone’s guess. Over the past couple of days, another batch of long posts titled “There is an important conversation happening around Starknet” has appeared on the timeline. A few hundred views and a few dozen replies—the vibe in the replies speaks for itself. Research is fine; touting research as bullish news to pump a token is another matter. What STRK holders should really be watching is what costs the November white paper lays out—not the number 93.52. #Starknet #STRK

Starknet governance and onchain TVL are in the same frame this week, but don’t conflate “high vote share” with “strong fundamentals.” The vote: A non-binding Snapshot poll held from 10/15 to 10/22 saw 93.52% of voting power support “launching research into becoming an independent post-quantum L1,” with 3,236 votes (StarkWare / Foundation announcement). The official statement is clear: this only authorizes StarkWare and the Foundation to begin research and form a working group to write a white paper; it does not approve a transition to an L1. A formal proposal and a second vote are still to come. The funds: Extended (formerly the leading perpetuals platform on Starknet) moved settlement to Circle’s Arc on 10/22, reporting that about $120 million in TVL had moved out (including positions and open orders). DefiLlama daily data shows Starknet’s onchain DeFi TVL falling from about $158 million on 10/21 to about $41.26 million on 10/25 (around -74%); as of 10/30, it was still about $39.55 million. Extended’s current distribution is roughly $109 million on Arc and just $2.27 million on Starknet. “Votes can’t be spent like TVL”: A high approval rate measures interest in authorizing research; TVL measures whether applications continue to keep collateral and trading activity on this chain. An independent quantum-resistant L1 is a long-term question of strategic flexibility, while Extended’s migration is a question of current settlement and liquidity depth—they are not substitutes for one another. Next things to watch: the white paper and timeline for a formal proposal; whether TVL in protocols other than Extended can stabilize; and whether Extended continues to expand on Arc. #Starknet #STRK #DeFi #governance For reference only; not investment advice / NFA

Does the Binance hack have anything whatsoever to do with quantum computing? No. But the Starknet crowd has somehow turned it into an "quantum-resistant" ad campaign over the past couple of days. I looked through the posts on X, and the playbook is pretty consistent: @Lig_hope_th wrote on October 30: "Binance hack is a wake-up call…time to focus on projects like Starknet STRK," followed by "security against hackers, AI, and quantum threats." @SARAwebh3 replied under a post by @johnking_eth: "Binance hack stresses proactive quantum security designs." @BryanQuartz quoted the same post: 1,048 views, 73 likes, and 68 replies. The reply count is almost catching up to the likes—if you know, you know. Even X News' AI summary casually described it as "The Binance hack puts Starknet's quantum-resistant design in the spotlight." But the accounts of how the hack happened—which people are quoting themselves—say that the attacker reportedly first compromised an engineer's computer, accessed internal services, and then pushed through transactions. On-chain firms like TRM have linked it to North Korea's TraderTraitor group. This was a failure involving people, endpoints, and internal access controls—not a quantum computer cracking elliptic curves. No matter how robust the STARK proofs are, if someone's remotely controlling an employee's computer, the resulting signature is still "legitimate." The irony is that Starknet's actual role in this incident was that its foundation froze 428 STRK that had been mixed in with the stolen funds, worth about $19. I'm not saying post-quantum research is pointless. I'm saying using a social engineering and intranet-intrusion case to sell a quantum-resistance narrative is a bait-and-switch. When you see a line like "XX proves you should buy YY," first ask: are these two things actually causally related, or are they just close together in the news cycle? #币安 #Starknet
