Bitget announced it will halt services for a subset of users in a one‑off exercise while keeping the platform running for everyone else. The exchange said user funds remain safe and that affected customers will receive email, in‑app or push notifications detailing next steps, withdrawal deadlines and arrangements. Users who have not gotten official notices can continue trading as normal, and support staff will help with pending orders, withdrawals and other account questions. Bitget urged everyone to use only official channels and watch out for phishing links, impersonation accounts and unverified information. The move follows a security incident reported on Sept. 25 in which unauthorized transfers led to a temporary withdrawal suspension; a security firm later said roughly $388 million was taken.
