The latest monthly OPEC report has once again brought up the same old debate: how much oil Venezuela actually produces. The Ministry of Hydrocarbons reported an average of **1,201,000 barrels per day in August**, only 1,000 barrels more than in July. The cartel’s secondary sources, however, attribute **1,145,000 barrels per day** to the country, a difference of 56,000 bpd (4.80%). For PitbullChain, that statistical gap matters less than the trend behind it: production has stopped falling, but it’s also not taking off.
