🐂🐻 Won an NFT, Lost to the Rules: A Look Back at the Fortune Foes Auction Controversy Another NFT project has recently been blasted on X: Fortune Foes on Robinhood Chain. According to a community roundup on X, the project promoted itself as a “bull-versus-bear” GameFi project and promised real-world asset (RWA) rewards. The trouble started with its September auction: 🔹 Halfway through the auction, the rules were changed and the bidding period was extended 🔹 The Bears NFT collection was changed from the original plan to a free airdrop for winning bidders 🔹 On September 20, the official account posted that the airdrop was complete and trading on OpenSea would open soon 🔹 Updates then stopped, the floor price fell to a few dozen dollars, people started asking for refunds, and the community said founder Pooria had not responded 🔹 Community members including 0xAlphaGEMs reported losses ranging from 0.3 ETH to 5.5 ETH, and even coined a new term: “pooria-ed” Some people still support its pixel art and believe the delay is technical. There has been no official conclusion on whether this was a rug pull, so I won’t jump to conclusions. But one X post really hit home. It listed a string of project names alongside the line: “donators cycle. You’ll probably be on here next.” My take: changing the rules midway through an auction is itself the biggest red flag. If the rules can be changed once, they can be changed again. Before taking part in an NFT auction, check at least three things: Are the rules hard-coded in the contract? Are the funds’ movements transparent? Does the team have a consistent update schedule? Every day a project stays silent says more than any negative news ever could. Have you ever encountered an NFT project that “changed the rules midway”? How did it turn out? #NFT #GameFi #RobinhoodChain #防骗指南

🐉 Pocket Dragons to reveal minting details at Friday’s AMA—the hype is here, but the answers aren’t Lately, timelines have been full of little dragon eggs. Pocket Dragons brings the ’90s virtual-pet experience on-chain: feeding, interacting, hatching eggs, and opening card packs. The team says it plans to bring together IP, GameFi, DeFi, collectibles, and AI. This Friday’s regular AMA will cover several key details about the mint: 🔹 Total supply (the community rumor is 38,888; the team says it will clarify) 🔹 Buyback and burn mechanisms 🔹 Legendary 1/1s 🔹 Which chain it will use 🔹 Exactly how to mint The community has been buzzing too: the Hatchery egg-scavenger event has run for 16 nights straight, with one egg available each night; project lead Sam Withers has opened up his schedule for one-on-one calls; and GameFi Labs says attendance at its Discord AMA has grown from around 200 to over 1,000 in just a few weeks. My take is simple: what we’re seeing right now is hype, not data. Supply, chain, and where the money for buybacks will come from—none of these has been finalized. The buybacks especially need clarification: will they use mint revenue, royalties, or in-game spending to make purchases? What percentage? Without a sustained revenue stream, a buyback is just a one-off publicity stunt. One more reminder: fake mint links and fake whitelist DMs are most common before a mint. Only trust links posted by official accounts, and don’t click links in the comments. Some people are asking outright in the comments: What’s the point of Pocket Dragons? It’s a good question, and we should have an answer after Friday. Will you wait for the AMA details before deciding, or have you already started collecting eggs to get in early? #NFT #GameFi #PocketDragons #Web3

Adding a well-known NFT collection to Solana doesn’t immediately mean the ecosystem has gained long-term users. Jinse Finance reported on October 22 that Yuga Labs announced the launch of Mudwater trading card NFTs on Solana. According to the official rules, each Bored Ape holder can claim 10 card packs, and each Mutant Ape holder can claim 2. The eligibility requirements and rewards are clear, but one question remains unanswered: after claiming the packs, will people continue to trade, collect, or come back to participate? The report also said that Mudwater card packs have reached a trading volume of 78.3 ETH on OpenSea. That figure represents trading volume, not the number of unique users, and by itself it cannot show how many people use the platform on an ongoing basis. A collection launch can attract attention, but whether the excitement lasts depends on whether trading and participation continue afterward. Binance spot, rolling 24 hours: $SOL +0.10% (rolling 24 hours); $JUP +4.91% (rolling 24 hours); $RAY -1.53% (rolling 24 hours). The three tokens performed differently, so this doesn’t justify saying that the NFT launch drove the rise or fall of any of them. The news also concerns a project on Solana and doesn’t mean the entire ecosystem benefits in the same way. I’ll keep looking for evidence of sustained participation beyond card pack trading. If interest fades quickly, this may have been just a one-off launch; if longer-term use becomes evident, there will be stronger grounds to talk about retention.#Solana #NFT

🎁 Won the auction, then turned around and gave the art to a rival? The NFT world’s warmest moment today Two works from artist Voxelemon’s CULT series went up for auction on SuperRare, starting at 0.06 ETH and getting bid up to 0.5 ETH each. The eventual winner was collector OSSEN, and one of the competing bidders was Adam Weitsman. But as soon as the auction ended, OSSEN transferred both works straight to Weitsman’s wallet, along with a little note. Weitsman posted that he hadn’t expected it at all and repeatedly expressed his thanks. Voxelemon also celebrated both the bidding war and the gesture, while many artists in the comments said they hoped they’d meet a collector like that too. 🔹 Artistic style: Gothic ruins, flames, and surreal symbols 🔹 Price: From 0.06 ETH to 0.5 ETH per work 🔹 The outcome: The winner gave the works to the runner-up My take: When people talk about NFTs, they usually focus on floor prices and trading volume, and it’s easy to forget that what first drew people in was “the connection between people.” An on-chain transfer takes just a second, but choosing to give something you’ve just won to your rival—that thoughtfulness is worth more than the price. NFTs and the Metaverse in 2025: a16z Capital and $30 Million on Sui Change the EquationThe $30 million deal between venture fund a16z and the Sui blockchain involving the DATA project has become one of those events that do not generate an immediate price spike but fundamentally reshape the investment landscape of an entire sector. According to CoinDesk, DATA—a project focused on digital asset and metadata management—is revising its blockchain strategy in favor of Sui following the deal’s close. For the NFT and metaverse markets, this is a signal of fundamental importance: institutional capital is beginning to choose infrastructure layers not by a network’s market capitalization, but by how technically suited they are to working with digital objects and ownership rights.

🎮 Play first, then Mint? TERA on Robinhood Chain is trying a different approach The most common script in blockchain gaming over the past few years has been: sell land first, sell NFTs first, and leave the game "coming soon." TERA is doing the opposite: it’s opening up the city for you to explore first. Here’s what’s publicly known so far: 🔹 Play directly in your browser for free—no wallet connection required 🔹 An online 3D city where you can drive go-karts, team up for heists, fight, and build 🔹 The map is a 58×58 grid, corresponding to 3,333 Land NFTs at fixed coordinates 🔹 Each plot’s attributes are linked to real-world asset tokens on Robinhood Chain, such as gold and rare earths 🔹 Free Mint, with whitelist holders getting priority; the date hasn’t been announced yet One more thing to note: the team says that the treasury dividend and resource "mining" mechanisms are still in development. In other words, what you can verify now is whether it’s fun—not whether you can make money. My take: letting people try the experience before talking about assets is the right order. At least you’ll know what you’re buying before you buy it. But a free Mint doesn’t mean there’s no cost. What really determines whether the land is worth anything is whether people come back to play every day after launch, and what the rules look like when the earning mechanisms go live. Before jumping in, take a couple of laps around the city—it’s more useful than looking at any promotional image. 📱 OpenSea’s mobile app is now fully open: The veteran NFT platform wants to get into “onchain social trading” On October 20, OpenSea officially opened its iOS and Android apps to everyone. This isn’t just a matter of bringing the website to mobile. A few features are worth noting: 🔹 Follow traders and track addresses across platforms like Farcaster and Pump 🔹 Import wallets and trade tokens, NFTs, memes, art, cards, and even perpetuals—all in one app 🔹 Self-custody and cross-chain support 🔹 Referral rewards: Referrers can earn 25% of their friends’ trading fees over the long term, while new users get a 10% discount CEO Devin Finzer says the goal is to build open markets and public trading records that connect people with one another onchain. This also ties into the direction they set out in 2025 when they acquired Rally, aiming to create a unified wallet and a global feed. My take: OpenSea no longer sees itself as an “NFT exchange”—it’s competing to become the “gateway to onchain trading.” Copy trading, referral rewards, and support for all kinds of assets make it feel like they’re bundling social networking and trading together. The challenge is that wallets, aggregators, and Telegram bots are all competing for the same users. Whether OpenSea can stand out as a platform with NFT roots will depend on the actual user experience and liquidity. Would you use OpenSea on your phone for copy trading? 🪑 Post for a seat? The Mutual Fun opens minting tomorrow—this whitelist setup is worth unpacking A small project has been all over X lately: The Mutual Fun, an experiment in “on-chain mutual funds” by developer Kingpickle, running on the Robinhood chain. The mechanics are pretty straightforward: 🔹 First, apply for a TMF Pass, a soulbound NFT that cannot be transferred 🔹 One Pass lets you mint 2 seats for 0.01 ETH; there are 4,001 seats in total 🔹 The seats correspond to 5 on-chain funds: Argon, Bogle, Smaug, Midas, and Vladd, and come with voting rights and dividend “briefcases” 🔹 Minting opens on October 22. The team reminds Pass holders to keep at least 0.021 ETH in their Robinhood wallet The most interesting part is how applications are reviewed. According to community members, Kingpickle deliberately stretched out the approval process to see who kept posting, showing off their collectibles, and staying engaged. Some people screamed when they saw “ADMITTED,” like they’d just won a bet; those who were rejected had strong reactions too. The team’s reminder—“Get your ETH ready today. We’re watching”—got over 400 likes and more than 200 replies. My take: Using a soulbound Pass to screen applicants can certainly keep out some bots and flippers, which is cleaner than a simple first-come, first-served whitelist. But “the more you post, the better your chances” is basically making attention the ticket—and the project got weeks of free promotional hype out of it. The seats aren’t expensive. The real questions come later: what will these 5 funds hold, who will manage them, and where will the dividends come from? There’s still very little public information. No matter how Wall Street the names sound, we’ll have to wait until minting opens and see the actual on-chain flows. It’s fine to try it out with a small amount, but don’t overestimate its value just because “getting in is hard.” Scarcity is designed; returns aren’t. 👻 The Invisible Friends NFT collection has a new owner: a longtime member spent two years buying the whole project back Invisible Friends—the 2022 project that drew clothes but no people—has resurfaced recently. On October 20, early team member coinbilly announced that he had acquired the project’s smart contracts, IP, inventory, and animation files. According to him, the process took five years in total, including two years of negotiations for the acquisition. 🔹 The collection consists of 5,000 animated NFTs featuring “invisible” characters—you can only see their clothes and accessories 🔹 After the announcement, the floor price roughly doubled to around 0.34–0.38 ETH, with trading volume rising too 🔹 Plans include animated characters, limited-edition physical merchandise, brand collaborations, and priority perks for holders 🔹 A contract migration is also planned, along with a free digital gift My take: Many of the blue-chip projects from 2021–2022 didn’t die because people stopped liking them; they died because the teams fell apart and no one was left to manage them. This time, a “former team member stepping in” adds more sentimental appeal than an acquisition by outside investors. But the floor price doubling is mostly driven by excitement for now—the key is whether they can actually deliver the animations and merchandise. Also, when it comes to the contract migration, holders should stick to official channels and avoid getting caught by phishing links. Do you think an old NFT project can make a comeback when the “original team returns,” or is this just a brief revival? Let’s talk in the comments 👇 #NFT #InvisibleFriends #以太坊 #Web3

On October 20, early team member coinbilly announced that he had acquired the project’s smart contracts, IP, inventory, and animation files. According to him, the process took five years in total, including two years of negotiations for the acquisition.

🔹 The collection consists of 5,000 animated NFTs featuring “invisible” characters—you can only see their clothes and accessories
🔹 After the announcement, the floor price roughly doubled to around 0.34–0.38 ETH, with trading volume rising too
🔹 Plans include animated characters, limited-edition physical merchandise, brand collaborations, and priority perks for holders
🔹 A contract migration is also planned, along with a free digital gift

My take: Many of the blue-chip projects from 2021–2022 didn’t die because people stopped liking them; they died because the teams fell apart and no one was left to manage them.

Let’s talk in the comments 👇

🎨 Impersonators are pushing “QQL mint passes”—this phishing scam is targeting NFT veterans Recently, several accounts on X have been impersonating generative artist Tyler Hobbs and his studio, tagging users with messages like: “Claim your QQL mint pass!” The scam isn’t new, but it’s very carefully packaged 👇 🔹 The copy borrows real details from the 2022 QQL Dutch auction, making it look like an official comeback 🔹 The links lead straight to phishing sites that drain your wallet as soon as you connect it 🔹 Some impersonator accounts even have verification badges, and community members have warned that these accounts can evade detection The result: Some people have already lost assets, while others were stopped at the last step by wallet security extensions. What do the official sources say? Tyler Hobbs’s studio has made it clear: there is no mint currently open. Don’t click links or connect your wallet. Art Blocks has also confirmed this is a scam. There is no new public mint, and existing pass holders should continue to use official channels as usual. My take: Scammers love the “old IP + new perks” combo because it plays on both nostalgia and fear of missing out. A verification badge no longer guarantees an account is genuine. Just remember: always check the official website for any “limited-time claim.” If there’s no announcement, assume it doesn’t exist. 🖼️ Are NFTs making a comeback? Ansem urges everyone to take another look After the NFT bubble burst in 2021, many people started shaking their heads as soon as they heard “NFT.” Recently, trader Ansem posted a call for everyone to reassess NFTs—not because of how much profile pictures have gone up in value, but because NFTs can represent ownership, enable revenue sharing, and bring communities together, especially as more and more businesses move on-chain. There are signs of activity in the data, too: 🔹 Daily NFT sales rose 24.57% to $47.14 million 🔹 Keone Hon, co-founder of Monad, also publicly expressed optimism about the practical uses of NFTs One example is Hazels: in mid-October, it launched 5,555 Ethereum NFTs on OpenSea. Holders can use “soft staking”—with no gas fees or token lockups—to unlock a Discord role, event perks, and free mint eligibility. Put simply, NFTs are evolving from “a picture” into “a key.” My take: a rebound in daily sales doesn’t mean the bull market is back. At over $47 million, the market is still nowhere near its size back then. But the direction is right. For NFTs to survive, holders need to get something out of owning them, rather than relying on the next person to buy them. Before you buy, ask yourself: if the price doesn’t go up, would I still want to hold it? Do you think NFTs are truly making a comeback this time, or is this just another wave of hype? 🃏 Pokémon cards crazier than NFTs? A Charizard sells for $1.385 million Even people outside the scene are starting to “speculate”—only this time, they’re speculating on pieces of cardboard. Recently, a first-edition Charizard card graded PSA 10 sold at auction for $1.385 million. Another card, a Typhlosion, went for an even more staggering $1.55 million. The discussion on X has split into two camps: 🔹 Bears: Graded vintage cards from before 2011 have risen by more than 36%. The wealthy are piling in to chase scarcity, and the playbook looks almost identical to the 2022 NFT frenzy. 🔹 Bulls: Pokémon has 30 years of IP behind it. It’s a physical asset, backed by Nintendo—and that’s not comparable to a JPG. Another figure keeps coming up: the Jolina Gisèle collection, valued at £100 million. My take: scarcity alone isn’t value—what matters is whether someone is willing to buy from you. NFTs had communities, IP, and celebrity endorsements too, but they still crashed when the tide went out. Physical cards at least won’t go to zero because a project team disappears, but they’re far less liquid than on-chain assets. You may not be able to sell one right away, even if you want to. At the end of the day, every collectibles bull market runs on the same fuel: wealthy people’s spare cash + FOMO. When there’s plenty of fuel, everything goes up. When it runs low, the assets with the weakest cash flows are the first to fall. Do you think Pokémon cards are the next NFT bubble, or a true hard asset that can weather market cycles? Do you still have your childhood cards? 👇 #NFT #收藏品 #另类资产 #CryptoMarket
