Base has activated Cobalt, its third major network upgrade, introducing new transaction controls for traders while broadening the tools available to companies that issue tokens on the Coinbase-incubated Ethereum Layer 2 network.
The upgrade is now live on Base’s mainnet. Its rollout focuses on two areas: a new capability called “Validity Transactions” and improvements aimed at businesses and other organizations managing token issuance on the network.
