1️⃣ Will the new coin pump?
It really comes down to just two things:
– Can the team push it up? (That’s all about how many tokens they control.)
– Do they want to push it up? (That’s all about their motive.)
Take $JCT as an example — even though it wasn’t a solid project, only 1% of its supply went to Alpha airdrops, and the rest stayed with the team. With that much control, they could easily move the price.
Now compare that to $ALLO — 7.5% of tokens were out in the wild, and the market cap opened over $1B. That’s way too heavy for the team to lift even if they wanted to.

2️⃣ Watch out for projects using KOL hype before listing.
When a team starts paying influencers before the coin hits the market, it’s usually not marketing — it’s exit strategy. Think about it: if they really wanted to make noise, they could just pump the price directly. A rising chart is the best advertisement there is.
