TRON is making an overwhelming impact in Allium Labs’ Q3 2026 “Stablecoin & Payments Report.”
According to the report, stablecoin payment volume grew 45% year over year to approximately $482 billion from January through September 2026. Meanwhile, supply remained nearly flat (+0.4%), signaling that stablecoins are entering a phase where they are actually being “used.”
TRON processed about two-thirds of that payment value, with USDT accounting for 84%.

What “Open Court” Means

There have been important developments in the Justin Sun × WLFI lawsuit.

In this case, Justin’s personal claims will continue not in a private arbitration, but in a public court. Meanwhile, it will be clarified going forward whether the claims related to the company will be handled by the courts or through arbitration.

What matters here is that this is not a story about “Justin Sun winning the entire lawsuit.” A final judgment has not yet been issued.

So why is Open Court important?

The world of crypto has long carried the mantra “Don’t trust, verify.” Being a large investor who put in about $45 million is one thing, but controlling a project is another.

Justin claims that the WLFI Token has Freeze / Restrict / Burn features and that they were used against his tokens. On the other hand, WLFI denies and disputes this.

What I’m particularly interested in is one point: “Who is able to freeze and burn tokens?”

It’s not inherently bad that administrator privileges exist in DeFi or stablecoins. The real issue is who holds those privileges, under what conditions they can be exercised, and how much is disclosed in advance.

This isn’t just a problem with WLFI—I think it’s a theme that’s been posed to the entire crypto ecosystem.

Not just “Trust,” but “Transparency.”

Can investor protection and transparency truly coexist?

This lawsuit may become an important case for thinking through that question.

TRON is trying to close the gap with Ethereum even further.

On August 25, TRON is scheduled to hold on-chain voting for network parameters “#95” and “#96” in preparation for the next TVM upgrade.

In this “GreatVoyage-v4.8.2 (Pyrrho),” TRON incorporates features from the Ethereum Prague/Osaka family to further strengthen TVM compatibility.

Of particular interest is support for the CLZ instruction and signature verification for secp256r1 (P-256).

P-256 is a cryptographic technology already widely used in the real world, such as Apple, Android, and WebAuthn. The significance of making it easier to handle on the smart contract side is substantial.

After verification on the Nile Testnet, it’s finally time for the Mainnet.

This doesn’t feel like just a “feature addition.” Rather, it seems like an update that moves TRON from being a “chain that processes huge amounts of USDT” toward a “practical financial foundation that can connect with existing Web, finance, and authentication infrastructure.”

Of course, an upgrade doesn’t necessarily mean a TRX price increase. Whether expectations come first, how the market environment plays out, and whether real developer and user adoption follow are separate questions.

Still, it’s interesting to see TRON steadily building Ethereum compatibility and real-world usefulness like this.

Personally, I think TRON’s real strength lies not in flashy headlines, but in this kind of “hard-to-see infrastructure strengthening.”
